  1. According to the Hun: http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/collingwood-captain-nick-maxwell-misses-all-australian-cut/story-e6frf9jf-1225912486845 In any case, it hasn't made much difference and you could be right when they announce the final 22.
  2. Sounds plausible, almost expected. But I wouldn't reveal my sources so readily, personally.
  3. 1. Watts to fill out. 2. Morton even moreso. 3. Tapscott to take Bartram's spot. 4. Blease to play 15+ games. 5. Grimes to have an injury free season.
  4. Jolly - no. Watson - no. Mundy - no. Swallow - no. Harvey - no. Rawlings - no. Hall - no.
  5. There's 2 automatic deletions from the squad, that we won't have to worry about making it before our boys.
  6. No, the description was fine. Just poking fun at the forgotten concept of paying a player's contract evenly each year of its duration.
  7. Just quietly, Frawley has been elite for a little while now...
  8. Should we maybe wait to see how he performs in 2011 before passing this judgement..? I agree that it is feasible he could be a core player or he could be on the periphery, but to predict any more is seriously stretching it.
  9. ...Supporter Syndrome, I believe.
  10. Interestingly, I heard Bailey on "Before the Game" on Saturday evening make fun of this very concept. Hughesy proposed it as a joke and Bailey joked along, before dismissing it as nonsense (paraphrasing).
  11. Very good points. But would we use pick 29? If not, or if it is only used to promote a rookie (in which case we could use a much later pick) then wouldn't we just delist Maric instead..? Oh. He's contracted for 2011. Just answered my own question. Thanks guys!
  12. Are you saying he hasn't deserved the games he has been given? Do you think he didn't deserve to play yesterday? Do you really entertain the thought that his teammates are purposely ignoring him on the field..? I think yesterday's game didn't prove you a dill, but that post may have.
  13. It's a figure of speech. Not brain science.
  14. I think it has absolutely nothing to do with that. Otherwise the ball would never be passed to Bartram. I think it is just a case of him not being seen. He's not quite a big unit that stands out just yet. Only a matter of time...
  15. Seems you've developed quite the following Enforcer! FWIW, you were right about the OP, but don't expect too many to understand that. The rest is just embarrassing for everyone involved.
  16. As he gets older and becomes more assertive, we will go to him more and more. I do see what you're saying, but I think it happens in games to many players, but he makes it more obvious the way he jumps around. Not necessarily a bad thing.
  17. I've been having that same dream for some time. If only.
  18. Trengove? The same bloke Port tried to give up picks 8 AND 9 to get? He'll be fine. It's a long year for a rookie.
  19. Do you think we could do that? I'm not sure it would work out, but if Bruce does go, it would make us look amateurish.
  20. He's 2 years older, injury prone and just had experimental surgery. AND would cost a lot, both to get him from the Lions and in what he would want as a wage. No chance.
  21. It's now on youtube, for those that are interested.
  22. I'm not sure he is the type we want. At all.
  23. The wrong people as in the people that enabled his habit, rather than helping him to break it. I'd say being around guys like Mainwaring was habit forming. The proof, unfortunately for chris, was in the pudding. It's Ben's fault, but the culture around him exacerbated his problem more than it helped. The fact CM may have been a "great bloke" aside. (and if you want to get technical, drug possession is actually a crime, so he was...)
