  1. Just watched the incident again. Xerri was no more trying to tackle than Maynard was trying to smother. He had the open arm & not an action of someone wanting to lay a tackle.
  2. The thing with xerri was he was so focused & distracted on max he forgot to play his own game which worked well for us. 7 disposals & 1 mark is all he did. My highlight was just after the sparrow incident viney was fighting with xerri. He was hanging off him. Just love how viney sticks up for his teamates but I do wonder if sometimes he suffers from small man syndrome
  3. That was my first concern coming into the room to see how Tommy was. He is up, he is talking, he has his family and friends around him,โ€ Melbourne coach Simon Goodwin said on Sunday โ€œThe pleasing thing is he is up and about, but he goes straight into the protocols. We will take no risk with Tom. โ€œHe will get monitored really closely by our medical team. They will make the best decision there. He is up talking, can remember the majority of the game. Thatโ€™s a good sign, but clearly he is going to be monitored quite closely by our medical team.โ€
  4. He has a great mentor there in jones to help him. I'm not sure what to think. Yes he kicked a telling goal, but he fumbled & only had 7 disposals. If he gets a full pre season behind him, no injuries then I'll judge him next season, but he'll have to do something or else his career could be over quickly.
  5. First time we may go in as favourites
  6. This saints/ swans game is very exciting
  7. How good was Max's goal from 50? Just flushed it
  8. I saw our incoming CEO at the footy today. Casual guy in his jeans, runners & Melbourne jacket. But some people recognised him because they stopped him for a chat which he was happy to do
  9. Bailey fritsch I take my hat off yo you. That is the effort I want to see. You kicked well, you actually put on defensive pressure, did some defensive spoils & the best thing yet you actually looked to pass it off rather than just blaze away at the goals. Please play like that from now on
  10. What a great round. Pies cats and bummers lost, we won & finally jumped essendon on the ladder
  11. Would you bring spargo back in for sparrow?
  12. I'm not sure if it's because I haven't seen us play live but I really enjoyed the game today. Maybe because we kicked straight, melksham put on a show & we put the foot on the pedal & won well.
  13. 6 goals straight we've kicked this quarter. Amazing what happens when we kick properly
  14. That's embarrassing we've let Cooper Harvey kick 3 goals
  15. That was a bit poor
  16. The kolt has come alive
  17. Great start. That was a great mark & finish by melksham
  18. OK need to kick the first few & snuff them out. Lets bring it home
  19. My god we let them coast up the field so easily
  20. Yep that was my thought to
  21. So we just let zuhar kick 3 in a quarter
  22. Those last 2 kicks by kozzie is actually disgraceful, for a guy that's been around the system as long as he has. Luckily chandler can kick
  23. Kozzie we aren't paying you to kick like that
  24. Well done Jefferson
  25. Don't overthink things max. Just get the ball moving
