Re Toumpas -
He did not tunnel ball the sherrin through the goals.
He did not kick it straight to A Collngwood player as Dunn and Viney did
He did not let Elliot outmark him in the goalsquare - 2 players 195cms did that
I get as frustrated as anyone with him but he is worth persevering with.
He needs to take a look at Brayshaw and be prepared to back himself.
He did play on Steele Sidebottom and limit his influence
-
Brayshaws working into the season nicely
-
why didnt Gawn hit one of the two leading MFC playeraWhy did Toumpas hand ball back to Gawn?

-
I wonder how many darts Gawn will have before the game or has he finally managed to give up the smokes
-
Would GWS entertain swapping pick 4, Frost as steak knives (as we will get him in the PSD) and ontrade pick 7 from Carlton for Dees pick 2 to secure Petracca? Dees can still get Brayshaw at 3, maybe Wright at 4 & then Lever or Pickett etc at 7?
-
I made the trip to Alice Springs and thought the amount of work off the ball alone keeps Grims in our top 50% of players easily. Just needs to try to keep it simple sometimes

Watts was good for first half
. Otherwise good
-
Well this ma5ch at least showed Watts can have a positive impact on the wing and no impact up forward

Grimes set Frawley up...not clean
-
Thought N Jones has even been wastefull
-
the names are all there on the HS website...The players' names will come out in the fullness of time

Off to the tennis tomorrow. Will report back if I spot Toumpas there smiling and enjoying himself after just 2 wins last year

I thought Demons flying him out for scans mean they rate him and sre just doing their due diligence

Gysberts trained with us fir a while before we selected himWell Billings was training with us for a while so it would be pretty good if we got him, would know the boys and slot straight into the side, but Saints will probably take him :/
-
Lucas Cook and Jordan Gysberts. How can BP and even Bailey to an extent as he wouldve had input dtill be employeed at AFL clubs

She is a stand in for the only way is Essex cast

Any interest in pushing Andreas Everett or tony Armstrong from teh Swans into the PSD?

Pick 19 completes the deal. Would Esdendon then take our 2nd rounder for Myers? Sylvia compo for vince and pick 19 for ourselves.
-
Wasn't there talk that Essendon players could break their contracts and walk as a free agent to their club of choice? If try why not offer Myers a good contract to leave and nominate us for free. Once the free agent window is closed so we get our compo. do Sylvia out. In Myers and Band 3 or 4 compo?

Jamar for Farren Ray could be a win-win deal for both clubs.

Wouldn't suit Geelong at all with Simpson due back, Vardy, Blitz and co but could be a backup at Hawthorn for a developing Longer if they get him.
Geelong already have an injury prone ruckman too. remember they picked up Hamish McIntosh last trade period, so I doubt Jamar is off to Geelong
-
I wonder how much Jamar is on. perhaps we could trade him to Sydney as their back-up ruckman behind Pyke. They will be short on ruckman with Jesse White and Mumford both leaving. They wouldn't want Tippet to have to do too much ruck work either. I wonder if could do a switch of players with them to lessen their salary cap burden, maybe a "Smith" and we part pay Jamars contract next year. Jamar might be up for that trade too i..e chance of premiership etc.

He is not worth pick 38. He was Pick #44 and in 3 years has played one game due to injuries. His value or worth hasn't gone up. He is worth round 4 at max - if that.Yes I remember this kid from the under 18s. Very talented and appears only to be held back by injuries.
Exactly the potential "steal" we need.
Worth the risk for a pick 38 exchange.

Doesn't sound interested in moving to MFC atm...but things can change. Happy to have Cross adn Sewell. Cross for 1 yr Sewell for at least 2. Both wont be on for every match together due to injuries etc.
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
in Melbourne Demons
Posted
Melbourne should offer a 3rd round selection. If Bummers say no then should talk with Melksham about walking for free and stating that the club failed in its duty of care i.e. not knowing what he was injected with. I remember that card was being played with Ryder as Essendon didn't want to trade him as he was under contract and their only decent contract.
Also happy for him to come to the club. Still young enough to have an impact for a few years. It is dissapoibting thst he isn't the franchise changing player like Dangerfield but he still gets a spot in a best 22 and that is what Roos does. Continues to just keep making the 22 better.
