currently watching the swans vs pies...Would Sam Reid from the Swans be a good target? He is 196cm. He could complement Hogan
-
Dawes out... King in.

After watching Max King in two of his last three matches at VFL level, I can honestly say there's no way that he's ready for AFL footy just yet.
Big blokes are usually gifted AFL games before midfielders. Apparently it helps their development.
Dawes form is terrible. He is a senior player with a premiership. He kicked two goals last night. Pretty easy goals. Was at the game in Darwin.

Drop Spencer, Bail, M Jones, Dawes
In, Lumumba, Max king, Newton, Mitchie
-
Yes, as a 20 yr old beanpole ruckman playing his first senior VFL game he struggles for AFL fitness. Cut him a bit of slack FFS. Enjoy his 5 goal haul for what it is.
Dean cox struggled for fitness in his early years. Couldn't run out of sight in a dark night.
I'm a Max King fan

Don't think they're KC's best. Would love to know if there's a story behind him not being listed there though or if it was just an oversight - 5 goals sounds dominant.
Lets hope he can build on this game. I think he struggles for AFL level fitness. Watched him battle during preseason.
-
Correct - neither Jack Fitzpatrick or Dean Terlich played today.
Max king kicks five goals and can't make it into your best? Were they all from free kicks

Jamar is done. Had one good year. When he made all Australian. Suspect he is finished after this year.
Gawn is ok in the ruck. Can take a contested mark. Skills are way below.
Spencer is ok in ruck and has better skills around the ground than Gawn.

hawks won the flag 2008. in 2009 hawks were 3 & 3 after round 6. Ended up missing finals in 2009.
History repeating 2015? ;-)
Not sure this has been posted already

Did we go in to tall? Clearly lacked run today. Even though we dominated the first half scoreboard.
Toumpas and Jay Kennedy Harris are running players. But they aren't better than Vince and Dawes.
-
Roos likes AFL bodies,,,men over boys. Can't keep Vince and Dawes out of the team. Vince was third in b&f last year.
I would drop JKH and Brayshaw for Vince and Dawes.
Jack watts can be moved further up the ground. Watts plays like a small so therefore the team doesn't seen top heavy.
Keep toumpas for another week. Was poor this week but needs game time

GOTTA LOVE FREE AGENCY TANKING !!!
-
what surgery has Dom Tyson recently had? his left arm was in a sling at the B&F
-
people calling for Gawn to be dropped have to remember Jamar went off injured....so you gotta assume Jamar isn't going to be fit for next week...
Roos needs to make the call on blokes like Strauss, Blease, Tappy, Kent and McKenzie
Salem and JKH should be dropped.
-
we missed a small target up forward.
probably a game where Shannon Byrnes could have given us a small target up forward.he has been injured all week.
-
we started the game first 15 mins and finished the last 15mins the same.
promising signs. similar to the doggies game. but we need to win more games like that if we are to ever improve.
-
we should over a late second round pick for him. thoughts?
-
didn't we talk about getting luke shuey last season? yes...

I don't think Dunn will leave.
i agree. he is now in the leadership group. one club player.
Dunn and Pederson are lucky...Looks like Roos is making them into footballers after all.
-
not even clark, dawes and hogan could account for that margin
sounds like the demons players gave up again. once a team gets a run on melbourne we go into our shell
wasn't at the game...interested to know if we stuck to our game plan the entire time or at any stage did we change to 'man on man' ?
when getting smashed it best to play man on man? or in our case...man on boy
-
Roos will protect the younger players and push the older boys.
Protecting the kids will help them develop. Something we've not had the luxury in recent times.
Cross, Vince have started supremely. Gives blokes like trengove support.
I'm optimistic about our form this year. Think the depth will help unearth talent faster

Can't see why PJ would want to leave Melbourne. Since arriving he has been on fire: sacked a bunch of people. Got arguably the best available coach in the business. Has full backing of the AFL. Just needs another two years with Paul Roos.I think PJ could actually learn something off Roos.
