  1. With my tongue planted firmly in cheek I wonder if Obama would really want to be associated with a team called the Demons. After all the looney right over there is happy to label him a terrorist or Muslim or commie, so why not a Devil worshipper. Food for thought maybe.

hope he doesnt support the Bombers

  2. Hopes had a go at the other bloke, it wasn't on purpose. Fact is the Vics had another 7 balls to face to get one run if they did take the catch.

The Vics were in raptures. Bordering on hysterical in the stands. Won by 6 wickets.

Indeed, wasnt many Vic supporters there. Was surprised Vettori was low down the order. Him batting would of made a difference

  3. Sure did, thanks to another match winning and man-of-the-match effort, this time the other Hussey ! B)

Did anyone see the last ball, where Hopes and another Queenslander looked at each other in dismay as to why each other let the ball drop to the ground ? Priceless.

Another Prelim win over Queensland in the big bash. Beautiful !

i think they did that as QLD had no chance of winning , 2 runs 7 balls 5 in hand

  4. And the Vics storm into the final.

Good match, Not many 6s though and another poor performance by Roy (1). Hussey sure had an awesome innings

why Vettori was so low down the order , il never know

Vics wont have White,Hussey,Taylor,Mckay in the final, Bravo will return

  5. Woohoo The Royals have got at a bargain price Adam Voges and Damo Martyn in the IPL auction

    other big signings are

    Shane Bond to Knight Riders

    Wayne Parnell to Daredevils

    Kemer Roach to Chargers

    Keiron Pollard to the Indians

  6. Fair enough but you have highlighted some compelling reasons why we will struggle. I agree about the openers. I think Watson and Katich have been good in Australia and deserve their chance. Watson's reverse swing complements the other fast bowlers. Katich...dunno about him. Why hasn't he bowled earlier..injury..confidence. We3 need wrist spin. If Hauritz wickets flatter him what of Katich?? Katich had on easy street with kamakaze batmen with no hope of winning.

Our middle order has real holes at 4 and 6. I am worried that 2 test against NZ and Pakistan (in England) wont help solve it.

There's the rub. I dont think we have a capable enough 4th innings bowler...England will not prostitute their wickets as willingly as the Pakistanis.

Then so will Bollinger. I dont mind either bowler. I want the one that gets the most wickets. Problem is that there were times that Siddle look straight up and down throughout the summer.

    bravo out hand injury

  7. Dokic gets down on herself very quickly. She has a temper. It's in the genes.

Lucak did play well in the first set, was with Nadal, but had to win the first set to have any chance. After Nadal took the first, he just went BANG! in the second and pretty much man-handled Lucak on court.

That Santoro record will be one for the records for sometime to come.

he is a strange player, never makes it far into opens but is awesome to watch and holds record for longest match in open era (6hrs 33minutes)

  8. Watched Inside Cricket last night WonnaJurrah, and Brad Hodge was interviewed and let it be known that there is one player in doubt for tonight. He said it is an International player....Mark Waugh thought it might be D.Hussey.

    i think it was Siddle

  9. Jelena Dokic and Peter Lucak are both out. No surprises there. Dokic's lead up to the Aussie Open hasn't been the best preparation.

Dokic just crashed and burned ,wasnt interested at all. Lucak played pretty good against Nadal though, good effort there

A record gets broken today, Fabrice Santoro , will be the only ever person to play in a grand slam in 4 consective decades, First played in 1989 and came out of retirement from last year to play to get the record . Has also during his career beaten 17 former number ones

  10. Apologies...I thought I saw on table on fox cricket after the match, both warriors & bulls on 6 points, so I gather they've both had 2 wins - as the Vics have.

    We have to win then.

NSW last is a big laugh, Tas should win as they arent doing to well

  11. NSW - Homebush interrupted by rain again *sigh* - typical Sydney weather.

Reduced overs, looks as though the Bulls have done it easy.

The Redbacks are already in the final, and it will more than likely the Bulls or Warriors for the Prelim.

    VICS still a minor chance
