Jones,Jurrah, Garland and Rivers also very good.

GO DEMONS YOU GOOD THINGS. I am excited. Next week we will go in as underdogs against the hawks, looking for revenge from Round 1.

CARN THE DEES! KEEP THE DREAM ALIVE.

  2. how is work experience?

im doing it in august :) :)

Yes mate, it is amazing. Tours of MCG and AAMI park. Interviewing Scott West, and a real insight of what happens in and around the football club. Fantastic experience. Get Excited!

  3. I have gained just that extra respect for Jared Rivers. Some Supporters have no idea how hard it is to become an elite AFL footballer. I wish him all the best for his 100th today and hope he plays 100 more, because he is a true warrior.

  4. I hope Michael Newton gets another opportunity to prove himself at a senior level this year as his performance today at Casey was very impressive. He has always has the talent but now also seems to have the work rate and physical maturity to match it. His vertical leap and second efforts have helped him develop into a handy ruckman making him a more versatile and mobile key position player. Let's not write off this much maligned player just yet - he may yet prove to have a future role in our club.

agreed, Even though Spencer is still young and developing. I would prefer Newton in the team over Spencer. With Newton competing as a second ruckman and second and third efforts being a feature. He can also be a pinch hit up forward as well, and could add a lot more value to the team than some might expect.

  5. In: James McDonald, Colin Sylvia, Jamie Bennell, Paul Johnson, Jake Spencer

Out: Neville Jetta, Jordie McKenzie, Jack Watts? Brad Miller?

McDonald and Sylvia slot straight into our 22 when proven fitness. While I think Jetta and McKenzie had quiet games and probably will have to get nudged out to make room for McDonald and Sylvia. While Watts is an interesting one. His form doesn't really warrant a game in the Melbourne side at the moment. But of coarse its better for Jack and the future of the Melbourne football club that he plays this week, so its unlikely he will be dropped, and fair enough I suppose. Brad Miller`s form doesn't really warrant a game either, but our forward line would be lacking in structure if he was to be dropped. Paul Johnson and Spencer should be pushing for selection as a second ruck man, considering Miller has taken that job, and struggled. While Jamie Bennell should make his way into the team at the omission of Jetta.

Very disappointing. We MUST start well against St.Kilda next week. I don't care if St.Kilda are the form team of the competition. We got 22 players out there and so do they. We got to be the in the game from start to finish, no excuses.

    CARN THE DEES.

  7. the article in todays paper suggested that there had never been a better goal kicked at the G. I just watched both of Buddy's goals from the same part of the ground on the news, and yeah they looked unreal!

did Adem Yze not kick 2 simular goals against Adelaide in the same spot in a night final?

Yes. but It wasnt Adem Yze who kicked both two. First Peter Vardy kicked the goal in the pocket next to the Olympic stand then Adem Yze followed. It was the 2002 semi- final, one of the most lob-sided games in history. We should of won, being 22 points up at three quarter time.

Tough day at the office for MelbournePassion, in a nest of Carlton supporters. But I hold my head high and was louder than all of them throughout the match :)

  9. trying to talk us up,using the old coaches trick, he is worried.

We have to bring our A game this week and beats these pr1cks. Let's not forget round 22, 2007, the day they secured Kruzer and ultimately Judd. May Jamar put his knee into Kreuzers chest early on and set the tone.

Yes, but lets not forget Round 1 and 18 of season 2006 when they beat us twice to ruin our top 4 spot. CARN DEES!

  10. Even though Grimes` kicking was down on Friday night, he still won alot of one on one contests and created some excitement with his speed and set us up a couple of times across half back. I got no problems with the boy, hes going to be star, if he already isnt one

  11. 45,444. Melbourne fans take a bow, because we were vocal and feral tonight, great to see. Now next week we must not drop of our enthusiasm as we are playing a lesser side in West Coast at the G. FIRE UP! MCC were fantastic tonight as were the rest of the ground. We forget about tonight and move on quickly and turn our focus to West Coast. Melbourne fans, week in, week out, Loud and feral behavior. LOVE IT! GO DEEESSS!
