  1. "You can't create a good culture by going out and experimenting and trying to get draft picks and lose games of football,"

Well thats what Carlton did for multiple years Brock, and they are still sitting outside the top 8 in the year where they were deemed to be a flag favourite. Cant stand the carlton football club

  2. I dont know if its already been said on this thread but I know Melbourne members voted in favour of the merger, 4,679 to 4,229. However was it true that there were Melbourne supporters outside the hall who didnt get a chance to vote? I find it quite embarrassing that those numbers were in favour for the merger. Can someone confirm with me that there were Melbourne supporters outside the hall that night that wanted to vote against the merger but were unable to?

  3. Unbelievable.

Does the club know how much we hate the trumpeter? Surely they do. It's cringeworthy, embarrassing, downright stupid, and just disliked generally. Get rid of it.

A marching band is just pathetic.

Titan_uranus, dont say 'we' if its not all of us. Seriously can you tell me what is wrong with having a trumpeter playing before the game? What other club does this. It brings something a little bit more unique to our home games at the MCG, and surely it makes you get the indication that Melbournes home ground is the MCG and this our traditions on our Home ground. Not having a go, I just want to know from your prospective on how it doesn`t give you a sense of pride about the club?

  4. ^Yep agree with the above, the AFL doesnt help us with our draw, giving us home games against GWS and Gold Coast at the G. Home games against Collingwood, Richmond and Hawthorn are good, but i`d like to play home games against Essendon or Carlton more often. Then again through winning more games, the bigger our crowds get.

  5. That suggestion makes me ill. Dont you care about how our supporters are perceived? The coaches and players are copping enough grilling from the media. I`d absolutely hate it if the media decided to have a crack at us, the supporters. We`ve been here for Melbourne in the past, we`re here for Melbourne in the present and we`re here for Melbourne in the future and enternity.

  6. Its hard to believe we won the clearances, 40 to 39. However our inability to turn inside 50 entries into scoring opportunities is a serious concern, going inside 50 35 times to their 71 times doesnt help either.

  7. This year has been so demoralising in so many ways. Credit goes to Mitch Clark and Nathan Jones so far this season, they have wore their hearts on their sleeves. There is a serious culture problem with this club at the moment. Sad to say that Geelong game last year is still having

reprecussions on us. We have got to somehow give hope to our better younger players, because at the moment i feel as if the Melbourne players are finding it so difficult and unenjoyable representing this football club week in, week out.

  9. Would like to see a membership ad released soon from Melbourne regarding 2012 membership. Need something to get us excited for next year! Richmond have released their membership ad for 2012, as have western bulldogs and st.kilda. Anyone currently making a youtube video regarding 2012 membership or anyone know if the club is planning on making one anytime soon, would love to know.
