  1. So much for sunny and 25 degrees in Alice on Sunday. Sunday 2 July Summary http://www.bom.gov.au/images/symbols/large/showers.png Min 1 Max 12 Morning shower or two. Possible rainfall: 0 to 2 mm Chance of any rain: 60% http://www.bom.gov.au/images/ui/weather/rain_60.gif Cloudy. Medium chance of showers during the morning. Light winds becoming south to southeasterly 15 to 25 km/h during the morning.
  2. See The Junkies fly up up to cheat their way to the Cup
  3. Yes this inconsistency is really starting to [censored] me off. The worst part about it is that when we are behind by more than five or six goals in the last Quarter we roll over and let the other team score a heap of goals in the last 20 mins or so. We saw this against the filth when we let them kick the last 7 goals of the game and again yesterday when we let the Dogs kick the last 6 of the game.
  4. Great Emblem, fantastic, those few who think it's too busy are idoits. If you think it's no good let's see your design. Put it up and let us all critique it
  5. First qtr hurt us again. why do we start so badly, it's been happening all year. Dont think we will win next week, will be flat as most sides are after playing in the west.
  6. Just looking through the fixture, we may not win another game this year. No chance next week for sure.
  7. What do I expect, not much at all, especially at shithad we hate that ground. I think we may do ok he following week against the Bombres
  8. We are still in with a chance of another spoon at this rate, only one win in the last 8 games. Aand st kilda next week.
  9. No chance of the 8 this year, we have more chance of winning a third consecutive wooden spoon than making the 8.
  10. Probably the most skilled palyer ever to play the game. gave me much pleasure watching him in those barren years in the 70's and 80's
  11. We are too hot and cold at the moment, we will continue to surprise some teams and then lose games we expect to win like north and west coast. still reckon we will win 8 or 9 for the year. Likely finish 10th to 13th.
  12. Would not bother. Likely to be smashed too after coming back from the Darwin heat and Humidity. We are likely to be flat as.
  13. There's no doubt North will be tough to beat At Docklands, if we were at the MCG I would not be worried much but as pointed out our recent form there is poor and North nearly always put in an honest effort and can be hard to beat.
  14. Now that's more like it. Hope they don't ease off in the last B)
  15. Shocker by the Dees that qtr. 8 goals in the 1st qtr and goaless this qtr. Lead by just 6 points. umpires up to their usual crap standard.
  16. I remember the 87 year well, for most of that season we played ordinary football and looked no chance to play in the finals, then something clicked and the team clicked, we had to win the last six games of the year to just squeak in the the finals. We then played some really exciting attacking football the best from the MFC since 1964. We Thrashed North in the first final by well over 100 points, we then destroyed the swans by more than 70 points in the next final, it was the great Robbie Flower's last year and the atmosphere around the club was electric. The next game was against the all conquering Hawks who were right at the peak of their powers and in the middle of a run of 7 consecutive Grand Finals. If you look at their team then it was one of the greatest every assembled with stars all over the ground. They were far superior to us on paper in every way. But we continued our brilliant play of recent weeks and late in the third qtr had a 23 point lead. Unfortunately we played a bit defensively in the last qtr but still had several chances to win when players ran into open goals and missed. We lost after the siren as you all know and i was quite depressed for more than a week after that. but it was the most exciting time for our club since out glory days and it could happen again soon i believe and when it does all the Dees suporters will know this excitment again
  17. Very little to get excited by today. I thought that towards the end of last season we were definately showing signs of improvement, but we seem to have regressed and are playing like we did in 2008 at the moment. Another belting next week looks very likely against the filth. All we can hope for is some improvement during the season and try to avoid a third succesive wooden spoon as we have never won three spoons in a row before. Bring back the Rev at least he got us into sox finals in 10 years in a Granny.
  18. I have lowered my expectations after our run of injuries and poor preseason form, was expecting 9 wins this year, now only expecting 5. The first six games we should be 1-5 Richmond is the only probable win I think. Expect to start the season with a couple of thrashings from the Hawks and Pies. Will have to wait till next year until we improve noticeably. May make the finals again in 2012.
  19. Final 10, what a joke. As others have stated the AFL just want to make more money by having more finals. When we had the 12 teams in the old VFL only 4 played in the finals. Now they want 10 out of 18, get real, teams could make the finals winning only 9 of 22 games and that's not on. Leave it as is 8 out of 18 would mean you would at least have to be a reasonable team and win more games than you loose to make the 8.
  20. Not expecting to win this, we have a terrible interstate record. Just be interested to see how our players perform and who is likely to to improve this season. If we go down by less than 30 points it will a good result IMHO.
  21. Would be looking for 8 to 10 wins, anything less than 8 would be a disapointment, we could have easily won 6 this year.
  22. It doesnt matter to me who the player plays for I am just as upset by this as I would if a MFC player was hit. These [censored] should be taken out and shot. Once you shoot a couple these incidints would drop off dramatically. No doubt this [censored] will get off with just a slap on the wrist knowing our court system. get well soon Scott
  23. Great clip, love it. fantastic to see a bit of the great Robbie Flower one of the most skilled players of all time. When Melbourne was no where in the 70's and 80's you could still go along and see Robbie and witness poetry in motion. Bring on the future.
  24. Would not be happy with anything less than 8 wins. If we get less than that Bailey's head could be on the chopping block
