Goal to Tommy, but we tried Soooooo hart to mess it up with three open men inside 30m.
-
This is going to hurt us. All the play and no goals. You can see the quick rebound goal coming.
-
Freak Goal by Spargo! Awesome effort!
-
J Smith makes a great spoil he had no right to get to. ?
-
Wow. Another HTB to Geelong. Rule that only applies to one team apparently.
-
Goal to Gus! Beautiful intercept and goal from 50.
-
HOW WAS THAT NOT HTB?!?!?!
-
That was [censored] poor by Oscar. He's not smart enough to go with Hawkins.
-
Another miss. And another pass intercepted. Our forward 50 delivery is a disgrace.
-
Wow that was a bad kick into the 50.
-
Another miss. It's going to cost us.

Umpire assist #1.
-
Only if we do it to their big three.
-
Lewis cost us that last goal. He had the opportunity to tackle on HB and elected to let the player with the ball go in favour of sticking with his man, who he then didn't stick with.

I have us one game outside the eight with North just above us. We need to win at least one of the improbables to sneak in on percentage. That game against the Saints did immense damage.
-
I'll take it. Obviously a 100 point win with better accuracy would have been nice, but we absolutely dominated a team that we should dominate. It looks like Joel Smith might be on his way back to Casey. He's still a work in progress, but right now his lack of game sense is hurting the side too much. We need to get rid of the Darwin game ASAP. The players are going to be stuffed next week.

Essendon VFL v Casey Demons - VFL Round 13

That was an interesting game to watch. Worth noting that they showed some of Rawlings' quarter time talk and he singled out Vince, Pederesn and King for efforts in the first. I think in all cases it was their attack on the man that he was praising. Vince came out at the start and bulldozed his way through a few players to get to the ball which set the tone nicely. I'm amazed that Keilty hasn't had a call-up yet. I see him as the obvious replacement for Lever of the tall defenders in our side. He's a very strong intercept mark, he's calm under pressure and his disposal is as good as any. I'd have him ahead of J. Smith any day. Frost showed a lot today as well, but his hands aren't as good and you can't trust his disposal. I really liked the look of Baker. He seems to use his pace to get into space more than running with the ball. He was able to find room constantly and give an uncontested option for his teammates. Could have had a couple of shots as well, but he seems to prefer giving them off. Definite potential there. -

Casey Demons v Coburg - VFL Round 12

A brother I believe. -
The game is quite easy to umpire. The problem is that the morons at AFL House keep tinkering with the rules and coming up with new "interpretations" every week to make it more difficult for everyone. No other sport feels the need to constantly change the rules . AFL is run by a pack of amateurs.

OK. Haven't read the thread but I have a pretty good idea of what's on here. The Umpires annoy the hell out of me, and I honestly thought they were OK for most of the game. It's like they got told off at half time and changed tack to make things easier for Port. Tat being said, they did not cost us the game. What did cost us the game is the fact that we ad ore inside 50's than we had points scored. We scored from a pathetic 30.7% of forward 50 entries. That is a direct result of reverting to high directionless bombs rather than trying to actually hit targets. We cost ourselves the win by refusing to pass the damn ball and instead just banging in the high bomb and hoping someone could take a spekkie.

The best umpiring we've seen in recent years was when they ran out and had to go with two on the field. This is the opposite of that, so I think it reasonable to expect some of the worst over-officiating in recent memory.

That and they were tackling our inside mids before they got to the ball.
