Stats File 2026 Season
I think you need to pay CD for that kind of analysis What I have done in the past is screenshot the stats off the AFL app or website at the end of each quarter.

POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs Carlton
Helps when we aren't kicking the ball from the pocket all the time. Funny that. King was fwd coach at Geelong and they were the no 1 Fwd side in the comp

NON-MFC: Round 03
Dumdoro would have botched the picks anyway.

2026 Injury List
I think we can put a line underneath McAdam at 3 games Sad for him it must be infuriating not to get on the park. I guess he played 3 more games for the MFC than I did.

Umpiring Stats Being Hidden ... by the Umpires
No they don't have to be even. But if one umpire is consistently paying, say, a HTB decision and others aren't there on the surface would appear to be a clear difference in interpretation. But if you don't get the data - and the umps have apparently said they don't want it - then how would anyone know? In such an interpretive set of rules it is imperative that the umpires are relatively consistent in their application and without data no one knows. But let's be frank here. The AFL/umps don't want it because it leads to criticism of their performance and their running of the game. Just like they fought for years to not allow umps to have stats before casting a Brownlow vote. It wasn't until the criticism was so loud and the mistakes so blatant that they did something about it.

PREGAME: Rd 03 vs Carlton
we don't know what he has been told to do and whether or not he is fulfilling his assignment. It's easy to say he's not getting possessions but we are long past the Ron Barassi/Gerard Healy "show me possessions". What have Sparrow's opponents been doing?

Umpiring Stats Being Hidden ... by the Umpires
If one umpire has paid 10 x HTB and 3 other umpires paid 0x HTBs then that is not only useful information but imperative information and the AFL need to know this to correct the imbalance. Also important for us the consumers, to know how corrupted/biased the umpiring is. Lack of transparency is simply a recipe for speculation to abound about motives, irregularities etc.

Sparrow had 9 tackles. Will not be dropped

CASEY: Rd 01 vs Footscray VFL
There's something about Taylor and his demeanour that is gnawing at me. Almost like he expects it to come (not unusual in talented juniors). He has good traits and skills but I hope he gets the right nurturing before we blood him on the ones.

POSTGAME: Rd 02 vs Fremantle
You do understand how the draft works? He has line breaking speed. Thats what we recruited for. Neither player you mentioned has that.

POSTGAME: Rd 02 vs Fremantle
It's been said before but Lindsay is not a defender And Langford has some worrying traits. He's hanging around packs a lot and hasnt been winning his own ball. Maybe that's his instruction but 2 weeks running he looks miles off it. And Windsor dropped his colours big time today. Particularly when it got physical. Freo was hard at us knowing they could disrupt our fast play. They executed very well and we crumbled. We lacked some solid bodies more like Steele that could take some hits but gain some control. So many of the mistakes were of our own doing Wasn't expecting a lot this game but we were taught a lesson.
