Correct (except for the Freo game). But careful or the Oscar lovers will come and get you. And you'll be re-educated that its actually the midfield at fault....
-
Beams and Zorko are the two that must be stopped. Beams is coming back into great form and Zorko has played at a high standard for most of the year. Stop these two and we go a long way to winning this game.

Thanks Jack Dyer

You're splitting hairs there. No one disputes Salem is a fantastic kick of the football. Possibly our best kick.
-
We already have one of those.............

I think we all agree Watts' best is elite. He just seems to want to pick and choose when he brings it. The coaches have access to all the GPS stats so they know how hard he is working, if he is injured etc. They also know what he has been told to be work on in terms of competitiveness, instensity, role in the game etc. They would be frustrated that a 150 game player has to be dropped again to get the message through.
-
I think you are being harsh. He has kicked 7.12 for the year. Had he kicked 12.7 we would be singing his praises a lot more. His kicking has definitely let him down but he was getting the ball, playing his role and keeping other players relatively quiet.

I think an avocado pip thrown from the Balcony of the members would have more impact....

The Hawks didn't want to get rid of Lewis but Clarkson stuffed up and the cat was out of the bag so it was too late to stop. They eventually realised they had to move on Hodge, Gibson, Mitchell, Lewis and possibly Burgoyne in order to avoid the Brisbane crash after their 3 flags. It was the right strategy just poorly done. We won out of this. In every way possible.

In rounds 12, 13, 14 - 3 wins for Melb Bugg 36 disp 12 tackles 5 goals Melksham 33 disp 9 tackles 3 goals Since the Swans game Melksham has definitely improved IMO.
-
This looks about right but are Bugg and Melksham really competing for the same spots? Prior to his suspension I think Bugg and Melksham had played in pretty much every game together. Melksham looks to have changed his role and is playing well but has he taken over Bugg's role? And if so is there another role for Bugg?
-
The coaches don't agree with you. He clearly isn't doing the things they want him to.
-
You picked the wrong comparison there. Different roles, different positions. Bugg has outperformed Ballantyne in virtually all categories this year.
-
Great to hear like what Cam can bring. Would like to see him more consistent but that has been harder given the different roles..

Lewis is the biggest name to come to Melbourne in decades. The fact he chose Melbourne is nigh on unbelievable. Every year on this forum posters go bananas about a Dangerfield some other gun player that we might get. It never happens! Now though it might be different. In addition to his on and off field leadership Lewis might also mean other out of contract guns like Lever or better seriously consider Melbourne as a destination. That is a major turnaround from where we have come from. He is worth every cent we pay him. The team has been walking taller since he arrived and all the players have been quizing him about Hawthorn, playing in finals, preparation etc. He has done it all and its fantastic he has brought ot to Melbourne As for finals experience we have had Jones 11 years ago and Vince. Thats it. His worth will shoot up dramaticzally come September

NSW used to allow motorcycle riders to ride without a helmet if you had a medical certificate that presumably said it gave you headaches, blurred vision etc. Not sure if still the case. Any NSW people here caere to answer?

What did Frost do at Casey?
-
It is indeed worth listening to. I was surprised how far out from draft day they were following Oliver. I got the impression that it all came in a bit of a rush but it seems there was a sound strategy and analysis behind it....

If you are talking the Jason Johannisen/Bulldogs game you are wrong as he played OK, scored 2 goals from memory. I don't recall any baiting of the Swans prior to the game. Did I miss that?

the money is irrelevant. We have to pay the cap. Not sure why poeple don't understand that. As for the footy dept, I said I would back the footy dept over you. I stand by that
-
It was also our 4th game off a 6 day break from recollection.
-
I thought that as well...

Did Pavlich go home to Adelaide? No Has Sloan come back to Melbourne? No Do we need to bang on about Hogan and Perth for the next 3 years?

There was an article in the HSun saying Bugg should have been suspended longer because he has a history of being a defendant at the tribunal. In other words players have hit him therefore he must have been doing something wrong to deserve the hit. Beggars belief.
