  1. Hey guys, Thought I should let you guys know that I won't be able to continue this year's ultimate footy, it has been fun but my time is up.Thanks to Jarka for taking it on, and I'm glad to see it continuing with good support. Good luck to you all, especially you Jarka. Edit: just spoke to Hollywood, he's out also.
  2. Amazing we could ever compete, let alone beat that team.
  3. God help us if spencer is our only salvation.
  4. The article should have focused more on what the MFC means to the AFL at present, including what the AFL's role in the club's long term should be. Instead he just adds a single quote from AD saying what he is expected to say, then rehashes old news. I would prefer to read about what the AFL might be thinking behind doors, you'll never get a decent quote from anyone about it but you could at least frame the argument. On that note, it will be interesting to see how the AFL treats us in the next few years, in terms of cash handouts, equalisation and priority picks. Especially given their recent commitment to the new clubs. To now I think the AFL has bad a foot in both camps, they're not prepared to force clubs out, but they're not really committed to effective assistance either. My fear is they will only offer token assistance on those fronts, and we will continue to struggle. I don't think we are at risk of being folded in the short term, it will be a decade before they consider any change to the league lineup, but when that time comes, if we are travelling the same path as we are currently on, I can't see any other way but merge/move or fold.
  5. There is an opportunity to change, however doing so leaves an opportunity open for a kind of half cheating. Where you can play a player in your emergency list in the first game to see how he goes then remove a player from your primary list if the original one went well, and the emergency will fill the empty spot, effectively meaning you can see a player's performance before choosing to play them.
  6. IMPORTANT You must set your team before the first game of each round. Previously it may have been possible to wait until Saturday morning, this is not the case anymore.
  7. Agree with RPFC's comments. Forward line strong. Generally speaking an exceptionally strong team compared to ours, you have either draft exceptionally well, or there are not as many teams in your league.
  8. At $4.55 I'll put that bet on for sure. The Jackattacks are a changed team this year; fitter, stronger and with a game plan.
  9. That's what I like to hear HT
  10. If you've gone shallow on rucks I may have over invested so happy to field offers.
  11. All done, hope you're happy with your team. Different feel from last year, much more quality, plenty to think about with the scoring system. Now, who wants to trade?
  12. not long now Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Gary Ablett
  13. 2 more sleeps until draft day. Keepers are set and i fixed the problem of the mixed up order. Draft is: Monday March 18 at 7:00 PM (AEST) Things to do before the draft: Check your keepers and check your draft position is correct. There is no going back so if I have made a mistake you'll just have to suck it up. If you want you can pre rank the players to assist in drafting, however I have never found it to be a worthwhile excercise myself. The site controls the drafting process, if its like previous years you will need to be in front of a computer, and there is an opposrtunity to test your conenction/system a few hours before the draft, I suggest you do that so as to give yourself some time to make sure you're all good for the draft. Remember we have moved to the RangeRover Weighted scoring system, so the player rankings will not reflect a player's true value as much as it used to. Here are the score categories and their weights, this can be found on the site. Kicks (KI) 3 Handballs (HB) 2 Marks (MA) 3 Free Kick Differential (FD) 1 Hitouts (HO) 2 Points Kicked (SCORE) 4 Tackles (TK) 3 Goal Kicking Accuracy (%) 1 Any complaints or concerns should be voiced now, before the draft.
  14. Gotta be brief, i'm in NZ on limited internet access. I'll be back for the weekend, which is when I will set the keepers for good, so make sure you're up to date. Draft time is set now so its a case of being unlucky if you need to autopick. Date and time are on the Ufooty site.
  15. I like it, is that you volunteering to do the calcs and inform everyone of the rules rpfc?
  16. Yeah, when you update your keepers I have to approve them by logging in and setting them. Obviously I can't do this all the time, but I will do it from time to time, and then i'll do it finally after the keeper list lodgement date. Which is a week before the draft.
  17. Reverse order for second round and so on, same as usual.
  18. Right you are. I'll switch Mitch Duncan with Sam Reid.
  19. DRAFT ORDER So I found last year's order of finishing. And I'm creating the draft order based on the following: First few picks will be the reverse ladder order taken after the regular season. Last few picks will be the reverse ladder order taken after the finals. Resulting in: pick 1: Jackattack Pick 2: HT Pick 3: DL7 Pick 4: RR Pick 5: Jarka (You got Jackliveshere's pick) Pick 6: Scarlett Pick 7: Jackovich Lives Pick 8: Robbo Pick 9: rpfc Pick 10: OMR Pick 11: SnomeD Pick 12: JCB Pick 13: MM Pick 14: STINGA (previously Deevoted) Pick 15: 45HG Pick 16: Hollywood
  20. RPFC and DL7 make some good points. The pre draft trading thing is complicated. If there is anyone who wants to do it I think I can assist in making sure it is fair given what rpfc identified. I get the felling no-one will do it anyway. As for Waivers for people whom don't have rookies, it really only applies to STINGA, because he is the only one with no rookies. I will simply assign STINGA a couple of RKs that were from the 2 teams that got retired: I'll give you Hannebery (144) and Sam Reid (192).
  21. I have uploaded the players now, Jarka and Stinga haven't put in their keepers yet, so I guessed what you might do. Stinga has no rookie keepers to sign, but he may be interested in trading a pick in the upcoming draft for one if there are people out there that have excess RKs? To trade, all you need to do is come to an agreement and post it here so I can modify the draft order to suit. Liam Shiels could find a home for the right pick Jarka. I'm trying to figure out the draft order now, so we'll all know which one we have.
  22. You take jackliveshere's team, headlined by Marc murphy and I believe he went about as well as I did last year so you'll also be early in the draft. Now that all the teams are in I will set the draft order. If you haven't already done so, nominate your keepers. You can keep changing them up to 1 week before the draft. I will assign all your keepers now so when you look at the player list you can filter for available players only. Then I will revise the list after the keeper cutoff date (before the draft). Welcome Jarka, good to have you.
  23. 7UP joined to the Robbie flower league. Jarka next up I can't get a PM through to Jarka, I'll give him a day before throwing it open to anyone.
