Doesn't put himself in a good light does he...

No gratitude or thank you to the club. The interviewer might not have broached the topic but he could have proactively said a good word about the Dees like Nibbler did when he went to the Crows.

  2. They're not going to tell the Irish clubs until the AFL paperwork is done in case the Irish clubs convince the players to not leave Ireland (although it's all amateur isn't it so it's not like they can up their pay)

I’ve got us 9 out including Claz and Trac..

    in:

    Mihocek

    Heath

7 x other spots bw rest of trade / draft / rookie promotion etc.

We should have room for about 2 SSP or midseason pickups which might be handy in a weak draft - have players train with us or show form as a 19 year old.

From a gun to an unwanted player in such a short period. Why didn’t they know this, whatever it is about him at the time of his contract?

I think after his contract extension he broke up with his girlfriend which set off a domino reaction with him going off the rails, getting injured, missing preseasons and losing fitness and confidence (and the contested midfield game evolving a bit). Plus obviously Goody, Pert, Roffey leaving since then. In Melbourne's defence he was coming of a 2 time AFLCA player of the year award.

    Straight swap for Clarence?

That would be an ok outcome but maybe our interest would be dependent on finding a taker for May?

  6. If we're outside our window aren't we better off getting a youngish forward (aged 20-35 would be perfect) who will be part of our finals in 2-3 years after our mini rebuild?

I guess none wanted to come to us but surely there's a few high potential developing forwards in the twos of other clubs.

  7. People are rating Flanders based on this year (B rating) rather than last year (A rating). He had his back injury this year so if he comes to the Dees I'm confident we'd be getting a great player.

I don't see any better options out there. no better viable trade options anyways.

On paper JUH sorting out his off field problems and getting back to 40 plus goal seasons (43 goals last year) is a better long-term option but his chances of getting back to that are probably less than 10 per cent.

Geez just coz Stewart is going to miss next weeks GF all of a sudden every commentator is now talking about g about having the rules changed….

They should have kept the grand final bye after the 2021 grand final, it worked fine then (for different reasons, COVID related)
