  1. I'm in favour.
  2. Yes, me too. I've mastered the art of screaming at the top of my lungs inaudibly.
  3. I like that he took his destiny in to his own hands:
  4. I always feel a little bit embarrassed for the OP of threads like this.
  5. Blease Lightning! Not a very practical footy nickname (I'll bet the boys have gone with the ever so creative "Bleasey") but it's what I think every time he jets off. That, and that "sneeze" sound cars with nitro make.
  6. There were rumours at the time that WCE took Chris Masten over the higher rated Cale Morton because the club's relationship with the Morton family (particularly Daddy Morton) had been dreadful during Mitch's stint there - hence why Mitch was traded. If that's true, I doubt they'd be rushing out to get Cale now, especially given his recent form.
  7. Because I expect that as our team develops in to a good side, he'll be passed by players who are faster, have bigger tanks and are better by foot. If he improves on these weaknesses then there'll still be a place for him, obviously.
  8. I've previously said I don't think he'll make it, and I feel really guilty for saying it because he's absolutely full of guts. I really love how he plays the game, you always know that he'll leave absolutely no stone unturned when it comes to trying to win the ball from the opposition or at a stoppage. He's also pretty good overhead for his size. But for the reasons you listed, I suspect that when (if?) our side eventually becomes very strong, those attributes on their own won't be enough. I think when the time comes to delist him, the decision will be agonising. Either way, he's still young and there's a basis to work with, so he's worth persevering with for a couple more years before making that tough call.
  9. Yes, it's one of those years where somebody will just win by default. I'd love it to be someone like Garland or Watts, but I don't think it will be. If it's Jones then that would really show where the club is currently at.
  10. It's hard to argue with because it's just so outrageously non-sensical. Honesty RR, if you think asking a kid "so are you going to stay with the club no matter what offers come your way?" then there's just no helping you. You're going to get the answer you want to hear, whether it's the truth or not. No 18 year old kid looking to fulfil his lifelong dream is going to say "yeah, I'm just going to sign up with whoever offers me the most money" (and not just from Scully, any kid would say that). Firstly because getting drafted is the most important thing to them, and secondly there's absolutely no way an 18 year old kid has the foresight to know how he's going to feel when he's put in such a compromising position two years down the track. There's just no way you could screen the difference between Scully and Martin's positions on this kind of matter. If you know of a way then I'm all ears, but just "asking the question" just ain't going to cut it. Chinese water torture perhaps?
  11. Yes, Craig Cameron should definitely be shown the door for that one. :crickets:
  12. Interesting you say that. That's quite a long way from what I consider this forum to be about. I'd love to hear Jack or Andy's thoughts on that.
  13. +1. Didn't hangon007 already suggest this? As old55 said in response, it'd be Coniglio to West Coast, Patton to Collingwood and nobody to Port Adelaide.
  14. 186 sits firmly outside the grey area. Not one single bright moment, a complete capitulation of epic proportions. If you're going to compare today to 186 then you've illustrated my point perfectly. Some guy in the match day thread even said (during the second quarter I think) that this was the worst we'd played all year! My goodness. Really?!
  15. Mostly I'm just wearing really, really tired pants. Way too tired to be grumpy, or ride any type of horse. Too tired to go to bed. It is kind of funny how there's no shade of grey on our performances though. So were we thrashed today, or did we thrash them? I'm a bit confused.
  16. That pretty much addresses my concerns.
  17. If I were more talented as an artist, I'd draw some hilarious graphic about how performances are always perfect or pathetic in the eyes of mug footy supporters and how there's no grey area in between at all. As it turns I'm neither a good artist nor a good comedian, but at least I'm not a big whiner like half of you lot. This match plonks firmly in that big fat grey area for mine.
  18. I've got no problem with us wanting our recruiters to be the best of the best, but your way of measuring who's a good recruiter and who isn't sucks. Every single recruiting chief in the business will fail if your measure of success on which guns we missed out on.
  19. Please bump the post where you said this at the time.
  20. How fortunate that we are playing next week then.
  21. But he was dreadful the week before. I've no problem with sending a subtle message without actually dropping him. Watts was a new player after his stint as the sub early in the year. As he matures and develops consistency in his game, measures like this won't be necessary.
  22. Beamer. Nobody else will get close.
  23. Indeed.
  24. Yes. Did you?
