  1. Cool trick: locking threads so the narcisstic OP can't just bump them for no reason whatsoever.
  2. You're in all sorts of unchartered territory for unbearable posters. In the 10 years or so I've been involved with this site I'm struggling to think of anyone more difficult to bear. And no, it's not because you're "right".
  3. Who, Hagdorn? He's living proof of the infinite monkey theorem. Occasionally he'll get one right just on the laws of probability.
  4. Interesting, my mental picture of Pearce has always been of a front-runner who went missing a lot and didn't get enough of the ball, but his statistics don't reflect that at all. The years of actively avoiding watching Port play has obviously completely impaired my ability to judge their players.
  5. What was wrong with them and how should they have been done differently?
  6. Only 9 were eligible to begin with: Couch, Gysberts, Spencer, Davis, Sheahan, Cook, Williams, Tynan and Fitzpatrick. Who are the six playing?
  7. Which actions directly attributable to Tim Harrington do you take exception to?
  8. What do you guys expect him to say, given that he's the captain and saying something is compulsory?
  9. Seems laughable now doesn't it? Worth every cent. Clark has proven to be a much better player than I thought when we got him, and strong leadership and work ethic seem to be part of his makeup. Still can't believe our luck.
  10. To you it's not a rumour because you've got some information that you believe fact. For us, it's a rumour, because it comes from someone who calls himself "Allen Jakovich", who posted it anonymously without us having any way to verify the information. This is precisely how rumours start.
  11. Come to think of it, Luke Williams probably was a better player than Cook. Damn, when did that bar get so low?!
  12. I think that's a cryptic way of saying the same thing I've heard. His body is stuffed and there's question marks over whether he'll be up to it for much longer. If that were the case, who'd blame him for wanting to eek out a year at a top club to try and pinch a flag before he metaphorically dies? I wouldn't.
  13. Wow. Rover is still tedious and repetitive. You sure you're not Ron from 'ology RR? If not, you're the second biggest self-fan I've ever seen on footy forums. Being right is very important to you, isn't it?
  14. He's 26 and has been in the system on and off since 2004. He's the avatar for players stuck between levels.
  15. Yes, nonetheless Clint's post focused on the high number of uncontested possessions as if that were the problem.
  16. I think the bigger problem has been taking rubbish skinny kids.
  17. Indeed. If you follow the logic of that post all the way to conclusion you get "clubs will give us a late first round pick for a lazy player with a terrible kick".
  18. I still maintain there's a need for players able to rack up high numbers of uncontested posessions.
  19. I think there's less chance of them seeing him as a player who will slot in and kick 40 goals, and more chance they'll see him as a terrible kick who is lazy as hell.
  20. Does SNF have any journalists other than Kimbo? Nobody has a record of reporting rumours as fact like this guy. I love this last paragraph: Pearce is originally from Sturt in the strong SANFL and is believed to be on Melbourne’s shopping list as a free-wheeling and high sweeping forward as the Demons prepare for what is expected to be a substantial of their struggling player list. A substantial what of our playing list? I'm not sure 'substantial' is a verb.
  21. Thanks for the reminder that Range Rover's posts were as tedious and repetitve in early 2011 as they are in late 2012.
  22. What does this mean? Surely setting the playing standard and turfing out those who don't meet it is part of "coaching"?!
  23. Good post nutbean. It's the lack of grey area that resonates with me - it seems from these early tasters that it's black and white whether you reached the standard or not with very few ifs and buts. What happens with Gysberts will be instructive. I'm itching to find out.
  24. I hope so Wilkes is borderline AFL quality at best. JJC must've only seen him the games he played against us.
