  1. They'd be all over it dazz. Don't create work for them by sending them emails.
  2. Now that film clip is production genius. Who needs Katy Perry like Hollywood productions when you could just put up three of your facebook photos in a slideshow with various zooming in and out, blurring and overlaying of the text "Let's be Friends"?
  3. tgrpfc is going to be upset that you stole his thread.
  4. Welcome back, we were starting to worry. You didn't need to create a new account though, you can change the name on your old one!
  5. Is that really the subject of this debate? I haven't seen too many in this thread defend his coaching record, just defending him as a human being with a lot of undeserved poo being flung in his direction. If he'd had the misfortune of coaching Richmond instead of Melbourne that would probably have happened literally. I think you can be bitterly disappointed with how things turned out under his tenure without talking about the man as if he is scum of the earth. Edit: Sorry, thread reading fail - didn't see that Nutbean had basically already covered these points.
  6. That's the wrong lesson to learn I reckon Jim. There is plenty of examples of clubs taking the skinny frame early and getting it right. Freo with Stephen Hill comes to mind straight away.
  7. Would just like to put it out there that it was not me. I'm not sure why we're even in the practice of changing perfectly good thread titles. We have a pedantic bugger in our midst. But I have fixed it.
  8. Yep, Energy Watch was a disaster, and one Schwab should be held accountable for. Still not seeing the link to Trengove's foot.
  9. I agree that it sucks that he seems to have played injured. It's just the absurd leap from that to blaming Schwab that I challenge. I'm not sure why I'm persisting with this discussion to be honest. I'm clearly a very slow learner.
  10. Honestly, if you believe Schwab picked the team you'll believe literally anything. As has already been said, there's enough genuine stuff for us to blame Schwab for without resorting to complete and utter fiction.
  11. Err, what?
  12. Come on, you've been around long enough to know that it's more important for one to be able to brag that they were right than it is to get the best outcome for the MFC.
  13. Well, it's gone down as something. Zero points to all of you. None of you predicted that 3 of our top 4 would be gone by the end of 2014, with the fourth suffering a career threatening injury, nor did anyone reckon Max Gawn would be the best player out of the six players we took. I think I'm going to chuck. Edit: and dazz, you are a sadistic bastard for bumping this thread.
  14. You reckon? Huge chance the news got it from here. Typical case of us feeding our own rumour back to ourselves.
  15. I'm way, way beyond pretending I know whether or not support staff are good appointments or not. I thought Chris Connolly and Neil Craig would be great appointments who would surely help our rookie coaches stay on the right path. Good luck to McCartney all the same.
  16. I doubt recruiters are ignoring whether the guys can play or not. Morton looked absolute gun as an underage player.
  17. I thought the game was to name players with the same surname who weren't related. Sorry for not picking up on the unadvertised rule change.
  18. Chances are that player you desperately want at pick 60 or whatever will still be there in the rookie draft. Take him with RD pick 2, promote him when JT goes on the LTI, get the same result without being committed to that player for two years or risking having another club take Trengove.
  19. There are already thread(s) on this in the main forum.
  20. Nathan Brown makes the top three of my list of ex-footballers whose opinion I don't give a stuff about.
  21. This is less surprising than recruiting him in the first place was. Best of luck to the guy - I think it takes guts to move away from an established career to the uncertainty and risk of pro footy. Don't reckon he will be too sore about it - can now say he gave it his best shot.
  22. Why bother with all that then? If you don't want him then just delist him at full pay with a promise to fullfil the club's obligations of player care. I'm pretty sure you're just making this up as go bb.
  23. That's all lovely Bub, but if I were St. Kilda I'd happily burn a spot on the rookie list for Jack Trengove if he nominated for the rookie draft. Even if you ignore all the so called "nicey nicey" stuff, the risk is by going down this path, you lose the player.
  24. I reckon the chances of the club delisting Trengove so they can take him in the rookie draft are negligible.
  25. James and Alex are (genuinely) related.
