  1. I think it is.
  2. It hasn't kept rolling. It's rolled and stalled several times. It's hardly news that they're the best side of the current era.
  3. How come?
  4. It's frustrating isn't it? I pay an arm and a leg for it - and if it wasn't the only way to watch the MFC play every week on my TV, I wouldn't have it. Such a rip-off. It's especially annoying when most of the other games get a run at a reasonable time.
  5. When Dean Bailey's team smashed Roos' Swans in 2010 was probably the most comprehensive victory in the post-Daniher apocalypse. That was clinical. Hard to believe that only 5 players from that game played on Saturday (Dunn, Garland, Jamar, Jones and Watts), and only another 2 are still on the list (Bail and McKenzie). This is probably the best game since then though. Definitely the most convincing victory we've had since Bailey was shown the door. Good luck with the kid stopping crying. Definitely been there done that, have the t-shirt.
  6. I twisted my own arm. Now seems like the time to finally come out of mourning. How do I look?
  7. He did get smacked in the face pretty hard, from memory. He might have played it up, but also may not have. So long as it doesn't become a regular thing I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt. Definitely wouldn't drop him for it.
  8. Credit: MFC supporters page on facebook. (Don't know the original source) I've been bland on the avatar front since 186, but this one is tempting...
  9. C'mon dazz, of course he's going to say that.
  10. Was one of them Lindsay Thomas by any chance?
  11. Howe definitely. I had the golden ticket ready. No surprises regarding Garland at all here. It was fun arguing with so many about this over the pre-season, though
  12. Exactly. Tyson did one of the worst kicks I've ever seen off the HBF to about 3 GC players in the middle of the ground which gave them another inside 50 (can't remember if they scored from it or not - not really the point). It was a true off the side of the boot mongrel. He's a repeat offender too. I find the double standards on disposal errors amongst fans really frustrating. Anyway, as ProDee pointed out, it's pretty unlikely the coaches pay any attention to the odd error anyway. I really doubt they're that fussed about the errors Cross made, given the rest of his game was strong.
  13. I don't think anyone wants to drop Kent, per se. I don't want to drop anyone; it's just the recognition that there are two players easily in our best side who are available next week, and *someone*, no matter how unlucky, will probably make way.
  14. I expressed my surprise at bringing in Howe underdone before the match. Not the first time I've had one of those "shows how much I know" moments while following this sport. He was great and didn't look short of a run at all.
  15. In addition to being ready, I think it probably helped that he quietly slipped in to the team almost unnoticed, then was just one of many contributing midfielders, so the pressure on him was almost non-existent. This is how the good teams bring their young guns in to their sides, so it was good to see. Have to say I was surprised to see how well he matched it physically when he's clearly got a lot of work to do on his physique. The guy is going to be a tank when he is 22.
  16. I feel a little dirty giving this idea any oxygen, but here goes. Jamar was crucial to victory today I thought. There is no way known you could go in with your proposed setup. Frost is new to the craft and Dawes has said himself that he's not suited to rucking. It's a recipe for disaster.
  17. Thank eff it's someone other than us for once.
  18. I didn't see it - was in transit for the first 10 mins of the game. Timed my trip to the park with the kids very poorly. Just watched the footage though. No wonder he was booed. As Derm put it, "he'll want that piece of film to disappear".
  19. What did he do, anyway? I assume it happened in the first few minutes of the game as I missed that.
  20. Was Toumpas's whole game bad, or did he just have one major blunder that tarnished the view? I had it in my head that he had a shocker, but now that the emotion has worn off a fraction, the only thing I can remember is the stuff-up that Lumumba fixed. He touched it 6 times with 14% time on ground and now I'm starting to doubt myself. Need to see the replay, I think.
  21. Haha, talk of being 6-0. Someone only last week said we were a big chance to be 0-7.
  22. I got too high on excitement at us playing convincingly well and forgot to pay attention to individuals. Will vote once I've watched a replay, if I get the opportunity to watch one.
  23. I know. Happy to ride my high horse for now though. Thought he was excellent today and a timely refresher for quite a few goldfish-like memories around here.
  24. I did a big "hoooooooray" in my living room along with everyone at the ground. I think my family thought I was a goose, but oh well.
  25. This must be what it's like trying to select the side in good teams. Been a while since we've had clear best 22 players running in the twos and wondering how the heck to get them in.
