  1. Glad I wasn't the only one who picked that up. I heard him refer to him as just Neal, and just Bullen at various stages. Clearly doesn't realise.
  2. I've now seen Lewis twice park himself in the vicinity of full back and stop goals at points in the game where we might have started to lose some momentum. This kind of experience is invaluable. Still can't believe our luck.
  3. No doubting it's a first world problem, however I don't think it's unreasonable to expect EFTPOS facilities at anywhere charging over $5 in 2017. Get with the times.
  4. I reckon I've deleted more posts than I've made over the years. If you expect me to remember every person who has earned points over 12 years of moderating then sorry pal, but you have absolutely no idea. Don't reckon I'll forget you from now on though.
  5. Watching the reply - I'm pretty sure Spud Frawley thinks ANB's name is Neil Bullen.
  6. Like you're implying, I certainly don't like word "attitude" being used here. It may have been unintentional, but those using it to describe this situation give off an impression of conscious belligerence or rebelliousness towards training. In this case I seems it's more likely a subconscious relaxation of standards, and the response is nothing more than a reminder to him as to where he needs to be.
  7. Oi! It's lazy, computer-bound people bringing you this little website you're posting your rant in. And my knees are fine, if not getting a little creaky these days, thanks for asking
  8. Quite comfortable with this now. He obviously needed a refresher course in maintaining training standards and received it. It's a shame he needed it, but I reckon Macca is on the money with his "block-head" concept (even if the term itself is questionable) - it's clear Watts doesn't have the singular drive that the likes of Viney have. I don't begrudge that - I see drive as a trait just as inherent as talent - you have it or you don't. The important thing is that Goodwin and co continue to work with Watts to ensure the standards remain high rather than "disciplining" him, which is hopefully what is happening here.
  9. Got no idea what you're talking about to be honest. I haven't speculated on anything, just commenting on the impression PD gives off as an explanation as to why he draws criticism to someone who said they didn't understand it.
  10. Do you really not understand that? Whether he realises it or intends it (or thinking everyone else is a simple nuffie for thinking it), he gives off the impression that he can't wait for an opportunity to bag Watts. Pretty sure he loves the banter anyway.
  11. Do you *have* to get international membership, or can you just get the armchair one if you're happy to forgo the watchAFL subscription and they are otherwise the same? I imagine that if you put that proposition to the club via an email that they'd be happy with it - I can't see them saying "no thanks" to a club supporter waving money at them.
  12. Just an oversight when he looked it up. I wouldn't expect anyone other than hardcore club supporters or draft lovers to carry around in their head who was drafted when and at what place.
  13. While I understand you were only kidding, no doubt there will be some peanut who sees this as an invitation to discuss him. It would be nice if Watts could go unmentioned in the odd thread.
  14. Yes, I said so after the McDonald and Gawn interviews did not pour cold water on it.
  15. I wish the club would make a statement rather than continuing to let the speculation and rumours circulate.
  16. Exactly. There's enough evidence now that something happened - I was willing not to believe a Demonland rumour and media report that sounded identical to the Demonland rumour, but two senior players were given an explicit chance to pour water on it, and they didn't. I don't see how anyone could possibly draw any conclusions about what the indiscretions were though. I don't think speculating over it helps at all, all we can do now is hope it all blows over, Watts accepts the kick up the proverbial as prescribed, and can return to last year's form on the ground come round 1.
  17. You should've just said you were in on the joke. My ability to judge these things in text is poor enough that I wouldn't know any better :D
  18. Because people might start making posts clearly intended as a joke, that others will still believe?
  19. All this does is make you wonder what other dodgy dealings were done under the table, and how stiff (and probably stupid) we were for our salary cap sanctions in the late 90s. It also highlights what a bloody loose unit Ricky Nixon is. Why bring this up now? Hasn't brought himself under the spotlight in any other way recently, I guess.
  20. The reverse is true also. Others of us that have been posting here for 15 years are not surprised at all that you jumped on this rumour the minute it came to light. We all have our biases, you're no different.
  21. Still quite comfortable with my initial call of BS - but as ProDee says, others can please themselves.
  22. The thing I don't understand though is how this ticks AFL policy boxes when we were told year after year that red was a no-go and the jumpers had to be white. I'm not complaining, of course, but it just makes no sense.
  23. Of course I like it, it's pretty much just our normal jumper. However with all the wind coming from the AFL regarding clash jumpers in the past, I'm surprised the AFL approved it. Just goes to show how arbitrary and ultimately pointless their policy has been on this I think.
  24. It sounded like a campaign from post one. And you can bet he gets aggressive and snarky the more people call him out on it. I've seen this movie before.
  25. My guess is that nobody's talking about it because they suspect it's BS.
