Anyone for cricket?
If you read actually what i said. It reads, Good luck to Hussey. But i say it again, he was extremely lucky to survive yesterdays first Ball, and he was out on 85 but got the umps BOD. so good on him for making the most of his opportunities. But i do not back down from what i have said all year. His form has been cod ordinary whilst others have made runs. Today was Mick's turn to make a few. Cool it was against the Poms. I hope he makes a double ton. EDIT: out for 195 Bad luck missed a golden opportunity to make a double, but the innings may have Busted England's Heart. Let us hope so,

Have a look at the first ball Hussey Faced...He is so lucky..Good luck to him. You are so bitter & twisted Rhino.... Hussey is lucky, if Brad Hodge had been given the same passage he to would have made runs. But he wasn't. Hussey was.

Anyone for cricket?
Hussey is the luckiest man on the planet today!! he should have been out on a first ball. Test Career finished. So lucky and again on 85 "absolutely Plom" he was, but he goes on to make 150+ Good luck to him. Hope he makes a Double Ton now....

Anyone for cricket?
I heard the ABC Commentators talking about Clarke yesterday not moving or walking properly on at least two occasions. He should not have been picked. Any sort of Back injury is not going to get any better over 5 days. As you said credit for Siddle but minus credit for Clarke. This Test is going to be a struggle now, the middle order Batsmen continually fail to back up the bowlers.

Anyone for cricket?
Well i am just going on what i was told via the ABC TV dept. The rug still was troubled by the side strain, had not trained much and the selectors were worried he wouldn't make 5 days.

Anyone for cricket?
Was a good day for the bowlers, so lets hope that the Batsmen pull their weight. Strange weather up there from what i could tell. Big Clouds/sunlight-it was all there. Selectors will get credit for Siddle, i am worried about Clarke though-4 days of Test cricket to go with a dodgy back?? Hmmm i don't know. Bollinger still had the side strain apparently, so he wouldn't have lasted. Day 2 will be most interesting. Will the Poms crack?

Anyone for cricket?
Yes Haddin's drop was a real shame. Was Tough but a test keeper should have caught it. But a hat trick on ya birthday against the Enemy...how cool. I have no understanding of Ponting in the field. He is a great cover fieldsman, but Tactics are not his high point.

Anyone for cricket?
This is the big problem isn't it. The selectors have refused to blood any new talent in the middle order for over 12 months. Clarke has had a dodgy back for a long time, and the other 2 are mid 30's. And now they have 2 days to spare, with only Raw talent waiting. Major problems. I know there are reasons, but it is still terrible foresight for a cricket strong nation like Australia.

Anyone for cricket?
Point 5 has always been my arguement, thanks for finally realizing that. And stop mentioning 4 corners its getting dull B) But you didn't mention the Selectors...was that an oversight??

Anyone for cricket?
Rhino we are playing the old dart on home soil to win back the ashes, and tickets are not selling. The Australian public is not happy ok. I will say it if you won't. What other circumstances might be in the way..Christmas??? Fair go buddy, you can bag me pretty hard, but i won't take that one!!! B)
-
Anyone for cricket?
You are kidding there Rhino for sure, a week out from an ashes series and still loads of unsold tickets around australia. What else is it going to be apart from a protest?? Do tell....
-
Anyone for cricket?
Yeah well it better translate to Baggy Green runs or there will be serious nashing of teeth around the country!!!! Test level is so different. Good on him for doing it, but how convincing is it?
-
Anyone for cricket?
Just Brilliant. Hussey makes 118 and saves his job for the summer!!!! unbelievable B) B)
-
Anyone for cricket?
HaHaHa! That was a good read, the Cricket Australia should seriously consider making you a selector-You fit the criteria beautifully RR Poor Ticket sales around australia at present have both CH 9 and Cricket Australia very worried, so my attitude is not alone. what you call whingiing i call my opinion? But do carry on....after a nice walk home from work along the beach its good to return fire!!! B)

Anyone for cricket?
Yes i have, I have said Hussey is passed it & Hauritz has never had it, both should be out of the team. RR i am not paid a sizeable wage to select a cricket side. They are. But i am expected to shell out hard earned to go and watch this rabble. I am just airing my feelings as this is a discussion board & the topic here is cricket.

Anyone for cricket?
Don't Worry Cricket Australia are just as much to blame as the selectors-the whole last 12 months have almost been a waste of time leading up to this series, we are no further down the track than we were last year against the Paki's. Cricket Australia employ the selectors so of course they are part of this fiasco...I thought that was obvious.

Anyone for cricket?
Like i said, we shall see in time, but for the selectors to not have named a side one week out from an ashes series to me is wrong. Of course you may disagree, it is your right. But a lot of this work should have been done last summer against Pakistan, it wasn't because certain players were not retired, Hard decisions were not taken. So now those same decisions are even tougher-Shocking planning and foresight. If this happened in a football club it would be laughable. But because of the ACB and Indian contracts players are to highly paid, and thus understandably won't step down. i know you disagree, but then i disagree with many of your points as well. The last 12 months Australian cricket has gone backwards or at best struggled to tread water and a lot of that i put towards selection policies. Oh also sacking Merv & keeping Hilditch just sums it all up!!
