    But you are not factoring in that in Round 22 we were 6 goals in front and then stopped (almost) against the bottom side, and then Round 23 The Filth were down about 9 players and smashed us in the first Quarter, Game over. Goodwin better learn from it fast and get it right because so far he has failed, and considering he had 2 years under Lord Roos to learn all he could, this is very concerning

    And what happened the week after ‘39? that also tells us a lot. This club has had a lack of continuity for decades, win a big game and then fall over once expectation is generated. I don’t think Jones is mentally strong enough to right that sickness. I wish he was, this is not a personal attack at all. But what happened in Round 23 this year was so predictable and it is why i was very concerned when the club made that video of Jones gearing up for the finals and showing it in July/ August. We hadn’t done the work yet. A video like that gets shown this week....

    Dr. G. You just cannot say it was a good effort overall with the performances of Round 22 & 23 as they were. We were in the finals and took the foot off the gas before the end That must be unacceptable at all times, otherwise we are all wasting our time. Imagine this week if WE were painting the CBD Red and Blue as Tiger Supporters are doing to Richmond. Goodwin as Senior Coach still has massive problems on Game Day, Pre Match. The team is just not prepared correctly. Yes i saw some improvement this year, but overall it was a failure, that can be fixed, but i don’t want to hear about our young list again. AFL is a young persons sport. Toughen up or fail

    That's how i have always seen Jones, as a good solid contributing player. Many people will be offended by that, but so be it. It is one of the many reasons why the MFC has failed for so many years 2017 ended exactly the same as 2016 even though we won 2 more games for the season. When the pressure was turned up to almost maximum, the MFC capitulated without a whimper. That is all about lack of leadership. We need 1 Captain who will stand up and demand excellence in all areas of the game. Jones has been there long enough and his best is just not enough.

    Jones is not a natural leader, never has been. He has tried hard, but it is not his thing. Let's be brutal here, The Gold Coast were an unravelling shambles this year. They gave no resistance in that 3rd Quarter. We need more than that Viney will play like Cotchin did last Saturday given the right team around him...

    Viney is the player who pulled us over the line in 2 games this year, both when he was injured. Meth Coke and Port Games. Jones has never done that. Viney has learnt quick, he is ready
