I think you are reading to much into it myself. I don’t think the club has done anything wrong, other than be honest. Would you prefer the denial route for weeks on end? Mahoney laid it all out there last week, if Jack wants to come back and work harder, he is most welcome. IF Jack Watts really loves the Club as stated, that is what he will do. I think you are right. Hogan may well play Watts role very well. I have always liked Jesse “on the roam” He is very mobile for his size

I like Jesse Hogan and i felt for him during what must have been the toughest and saddest of years My dad is an 82 year old Demon and i will be shattered if we do not see a flag together, so i can sympathize if Jesse’s immediate career is a bit hap hazard. What i cannot work out is where to play him, as it is definately not near the goalsquare. But then are there positions on the ground anymore within the modern game how do we maximize the talents of Jesse Hogan?

That’s the bottom line If Jack had wanted to get the best out of himself in each game he played, then this whole scenario would not be happening. The MFC don’t want to get rid of a great player and a great bloke. But we can’t carry someone who has a “lazy” nature. Personally i wish the club would give him another pre-season with an absolute ultimatum of standards. But then maybe they did that last summer. We just don’t know.
