I think the modern day equivalent to Robert Flower would be James Hird.Both very skillful with the ability to make opposition players look silly with evasive moves. Both very accurate kicks for goal with the ability to do feakish things.I'd say Flower was more naturally talented and faster...but then again he was a lot leaner than Hird is. Flower was the most exciting and skillful player I've ever seen play AFL/VFL.
