I am banning myself from telling sheep jokes, because of the youngsters on the site.

It is everything that the other threads aren't. It also allows for discussion of any topic except one, all in the same thread. It is Nirvana and Utopia rolled into one.

IMO we might be better with Martin staying a Tiger. It would allow us to chase Conca and maybe rule the Tigers out as opposition, for a player we may be chasing from another club.

I think the Martin deal could be one of those that involves multiple deals and clubs. Just the feeling I am getting. We copped a bit of flack for failing on our pick 1 for losing that bloke to GWS, wonder if the Tigers will cop the same, somehow doubt it.

Conca now probably a lock at Tigers with the Martin announcement.

Looking like Thomas is a lock at Carlton. Apparently Pies have conceded.

    That's disappointing to hear.

Well if we want to back ourselves in to improve, it's no biggie. Also a 3 year deal will send a message to other players, that now JW and his management see a future in the Dees. That is positive when we are chasing other players.

Going out for brekkie now, maybe a banana smoothie would be in order, to celebrate the restoration of the natural order. ( Top 4 teams left in finals ).

Have to disagree. A lot of the Cats misses were rushed or from further out and not gimmes. Port missed a number of shots from straight in front, one by Boak 10 metres out. They were dominating at the time. Kick those and and instead of 23 points up at half time it could have been it could have been 50. Yes Geelong dominated the 3rd quarter but if they were 50 down at half time I think Port would have hung on. Also I thought that the Cats got some soft goals from frees, Anyway, with those 4 goals at least added, then Port wins.

Port were great tonight and if they didn't miss about 4 absolute sitters, would have won.

Lets not attack him over his contract, as if he stays, that is all that matters on that issue. He just said publicly what everyone was thinking. The next step is to hit the gym and and become more aggressive on the field.

If they were a handy mid, go for it.

We only seem to have been mentioned so far in regard to a couple of players. That is good as it means we are hopefully targeting a couple strongly rather than a scatter gun approach. Roos is clearly going to be the lynchpin to securing the players we want.

Are some other clubs bringing the game into disrepute? We have an independent body set up to assess the merits of clubs getting PP's. Several clubs have written letters and gone public, on trying to influence this body in it's deliberations. This IMO, is bringing the game into disrepute and I think it's time for some long and thorough investigations of this cartel of clubs.

A lot of players from other clubs seem to be on the move. Either delisted or seeking trades. There could be a good opportunity to pick up a handy player or two for little cost. Roos has been adept at this in the past.
