  1. Can’t believe I am saying this, but Melk has added an “it” factor. He is experienced and has footy smarts, can take a grab and kick goals on both feet from anywhere and at distance. His biggest problem is staying in the game. Whether this is his last year, or he gets another, remains to be seen. Petty can’t be expected to kick 6 each week, but with JVR we have a couple of strong marking key forwards, who can contribute. Fritta we know and when we add Kozzie, Chandler and yes ANB, we have an ok forward line. Wirh Clarry back, Tracc will see a bit more of the F50 and that again improves the forward line and adds unpredictability, making it harder for the opposition. We have Jefferson to come, hopefully next year and imo, we still need to draft another key forward to develop, so we have 3 on the list. I am assuming BBB will retire and Tom might as well, or play out the last year of his contract, maybe more for Casey than in the AFL. Petty as our pillar key forward, now that he has had a breakout game, looks likely for the short term future at least.
  2. We would have to bring an experienced one in to cover for a couple of years, until Verrall and FW are ready.
  3. Agree, I just can’t see a regular spot for him and assume he will look around.
  4. No.
  5. The brown paper bags have arrived.
  6. If the money is right he will stay. It’s a soft gig.
  7. I’d prefer it at the G.
  8. Haileybury College football team has Matthew Lloyd, Scott Pendlebury and Ty Zantuck as Coaches. How wealthy is this school?
  9. Feeling very sad again.
  10. Weakest Port team for the year. Finlayson, Alir, Bergman, Jones, Dixon, Lycett and a few others out. Not a shadow of the team that beat us in Adelaide by 4 points Mckenzie now injured and Marshall maybe concussed.
  11. Whatever happens today the Hawks won’t be easy to beat for the rest of the season.
  12. But they don’t want the flag, they want the 1st pick, don’t they?
  13. Simpson did smile when the siren went.
  14. James Frawley the runner for the Suns.
  15. Not sure the Eagles read your post. One kick, to a side at home, playing for finals.
  16. If and it’s a big if, the Eagles win another game, you can forget Reid.
  17. Sorry for being pedantic, but Clarry turned 26 last month.
  18. Just had the best crab and prawn dumplings ever and in bright red dough.
  19. Done. Just need the boys and girls to fill it with cups.
  20. Maybe we can keep the back paddocks and the milking shed.
  21. I would happily pay for the cabinet.
  22. If we can get him without selling the farm, it is going to be very hard for JT to not do the deal. Noted the comments in his last senior country game of the the other teams’ coach. “Harley destroyed us on his own and won the game for his team”. Then you read that a couple of AFL recruiters are saying he is the best kid they have seen. I can see a very busy DL post season, hopefully with us as Premiers.
  23. Well done Brett, a fantastic achievement and still one of the best going round. I am always happy to see he is umpiring our games.
  24. Perhaps a 1 point win to Lions and us smashing Roos and us then winning our last three games would be the perfect result. Lions can then lose to the Pies at the G and they are a game and % behind us.
  25. Well said Titan. Hypocrisy, bare and blatant.
