  1. I attend most games and would rate Richmond supporters the worst. In my experience they are far worse than Collingwood.

On Sunday I noticed that when the umpires entered the arena they were loudly booed by Richmond. I was a bit surprised and to my recollection this does not happen with other teams. Can someone correct me here if I am wrong. I just haven't noticed it before.

If I am correct, then the majority of their supporters have a fixation that the umpires will be biased against them even before the game starts.

No wonder i call Richmond supporters feral.

  2. i want to know peoples opinion on mr mclean. i was watching him in the queens birthday clash against the scum and to me he seems fat and slow, players were passing him with ease, also his attitude is poor; looks like he doesn't give a [censored], for a man that has be lauded by others and himself as a future captain i think he'll be lucky to get a game if he doesn't improve. people will argue about his injuries but if you're injured dont play!

    what do u think????

    ta

Well he is lucky not to be dropped is he.

Malthouse gave him best on ground last monday night.

I don't think this topic needs further discussion

  3. I opened this topic and it has been interesting reading everyone's comment.

A lot of you have misunderstood my point. Of course on his game he does not deserve to be dropped. I love watching

    him play.

But I am talking about the future. I want to get rid of the old " close enough is good enough " attitude of the players.

Leigh Mathews would not tolerate this attitude. I don't care if it costs us a win next week.

I see this as an oppurtunity DB to really make a statement. We must be competitive each week and therefore we

cannot afford selfish acts nomatter who they are.

  4. For most of the game Yze was one of our best players.

But as a team leader his last two kicks were very disappointing. It was right in front of me and both times

he had a free player in front of goal.

The coach must make a statement that this selfish act is not acceptable. Even though he was one of our

better players he must be dropped for at least one week.

    Anyone agree

  5. Early on I noticed one of our players give a handball but not run on to shepherd.

I thought this a bit strange so I made a point of keeping my eyes on the person giving the handball.

I was shocked to see that this happened a number of times.

This is something very basic as it gives the ball carrier an extra few metres.

    Did anyone else notice this

  6. If Bell is dropped for his skills, how does Bruce go? Why drop a 22 year old for a 31 year old? Jamar out before Bell i think, need White in

I get sick of comments like that about Bruce

Have a good look at the replay and count how many kicks hit the target. there were many correct disposals.

His problem is that when he makes a mistake its a big one so everyone remembers it.

He is our co captain and therefore needs our support not comments like yours.

  7. You can laugh all you want, but for once Yze_Magic is right. Bruce had a shocker yesterday. His disposal is getting worse and worse. Terrible kick for goal, kicked into the man on the mark, sold his teammates into trouble with stupid handballs... very disappointing for a senior player.

    But enough of the negativity.

    6- McLean

    5- Green

    4- Bate

    3- GARLAND

    2- Davey

    1- Aussie

If I hear one more person complaining about Hawthorn missing key players yesterday, I will scream. We kept the Hawks to under 100 points with a backline that hasn't hit puberty yet. We were missing Whelan, Wheatley, Carroll and RIVERS, not to mention Jeff White. To their credit, Warnock, Frawley and especially Garland did a terrific job. Garland beating Knobhead Franklin one on one was the highlight of the day (what a frontrunner Franklin was yesterday). His cool calm disposal under pressure and some of his spoils were River-esque. :D

Bruce had an Ok game for me, he made three disposal errors.

But he had 10 contested possessions, I repeat 10 contested possesions. These are the possessions that count

I never reply to yzemagic as he has no football brains

I will reply to you this one time only as you are as brainless as him

  8. Bucks needs to get a game ! He deserves it!

Give Bartram or Bell a rest at sandy!

    OUT- Wheats, Barts, Jamar

    IN- Buckley, Valenti, Johnson

Jamar is hard done by but because he has been fantastic.

Bartram is picked in first 18 so will not be dropped

Jamar has played his best two games ever, been fantastic as you say but you still want him dropped.

Well I have always thought him to be hopeless but I would never drop him now.

He has the chance to prove us all wrong and I hope he does

  9. It was actually Tony Campbell, number 40. He blazed away from 50 when Robbie was alone in the goal square calling for the pass. Incorrect goal called against us.

Not one free paid to us in the 25 minutes of the last quarter that they showed on Footy Flashbacks to about 8 for the Hawks.

One or two blatant ones missed as called by Bobby Skilton and his co-commentator. Newport had his head ripped off and Kennedy stopped and started to put his hands up on the mark for the free kick. It was not paid and while the Melbourne crowd booed the Hawks went down and kicked the goal to put them 3 points down.

Eishold marks the ball in the goalsquare, one metre out and is dragged away by his opponent after taking the mark and the umpire puts him towards the boundary line where he was dragged to. It was a certain goal from where he marked it.

The Stynes 15 metre penalty happened some time after the siren had started blowing but the umpire didn't acknowledge it. If he had, the penalty would not have occurred as everybody would have gone to the goalsquare to stop the kick.

I disliked umpires for the next 10-15 years as a result of this game.

It was my worst day at the football.

I did not open this post to have a whinge about the umpires.

I opened it to explain my admiration for Stynes. He knew it wasn't a goal but i have never heard him mention it.

I do not have that anger management skill. I would tell the world

  10. I taped footy flashbacks from last sunday and just watched the last quarter.

This was the first time I watched it since 1987. What caught my eye was Stynes complaining to the goal umpire after Kennedy kicked a goal in the last quarter. The slow speed clearly shows it being a point.

Stynes talks about the 15 metre and accepts total responsibility. I was surprised he did not mention the incorrect call by the goal umpire. I was pretty impressed by that because if it was me I would let the world know.

    Stynes for President.

  11. Actually I thought they picked him as best. However I agree with Yze Magic on this one, it's not like his possessions were terribly influential or special; rather, he just got the ball a lot.

My point is that the two coaches both agree that Carazzo was best on ground. I would assume they know the game better than me.

Therefore the possessions were influential or special otherwise he would not have been picked best by coaches.

I would have to add you to the list of people with little knowledge of football

  12. Bobby

Tell me one time where I have been dishonest?

If bruce plays well, I will acknowledge it.

I wonder how many people here rate Andrew Carazzo from Carlton? Gets a shitload of the pill, but does nothing with it. Same as Bruce.

Your comment about Carazzo confirms that your knowledge of Football is quite limited.

The coaches of Carlton and West Coast picked Carazzo as second best on the weekend.

I will continue to read your posts as I like having a laugh. Its quite funny reading comments written by someone

who knows little about football ( but thinks he does )
