Didn't Moloney take him to Warrnambool one weekend and box the crap out of him? Thanks, Beamer, he's gone backwards!!

One more two year performance pay contract? Worth a shot? Given that he's never worked in an 'accountable' environment before, is there a transformation in him, around the right personnel??
  3. This is your summation of Wines? Wow, you'd better whisper that because you're showing yourself up as the village idiot you are. Note to self: JR, you will only engage in talking footy. No more personal comments.
  4. It would have been Wines. A competitive, big bodied animal.
  5. Cool. How about this? You stop replying to me, and I'll return the favour. See ya
  6. It's a Toumpas thread. Please start a Howe, Sylvia, Davey, Grimes and Trengove thread and I'll comment. He is (another) wasted pick. Face it.
  7. I have no time for Colin Sylvia. Never have. This is a Toumpas thread and he has been underwhelming thus far.....for me anyway.
  8. Apologies, you didn't. But, it's the way Toumpas plays the game that worries me.
  9. Tell me which young Geelong player doesn't go hard, regardless of Selwood? Go....
  10. This site will become a Facebook page in a couple of years.
  11. Because he loves to COMPETE.
  12. We are so scarred by bad draft picks, we're not even prepared to admit that the recruiters [censored] it up again. As soon as you bring this repressed trauma to the surface, D26, you'll feel better.
  13. Granted. But, here was a kid that was available, a big, strong, clearance player and we picked the wrong one! Jonesy and Col were much maligned, but they played their early games with rigour and love for the contest.
  14. You don't get it either. Time is something that this club may not have! Wines is an IMPACT player.
  15. Therein lies our effen problem!! Down the Morton track? Watts track? Cook track? Toumpas track? Tapscott track? There aint no tracks left!!!!
  16. Make that thrice.
  17. Hope you're right D26. If he does, I want him to deliver the pill with the attitude of a Selwood or a Mitchell. With a snarl, with arrogance, with disdain.
  18. It's not about shooting up the ladder. It's about stripping the culture of meekness and getting some combative spirit on the list.
  19. I assume this post is aimed at me? At least you've made the conscious decision to engage on a positive level. For years and years we have maligned the demise of the hard nut at our footy club. We now have two. A third would have been Wines who plays the game with rigour, loves the contest and gets his own ball. I have not seen any of these traits in Jimmy Toumpas. If we're going down the stats route, we got smashed in clearances in 2012. Another opportunity gone to recruit a ready made hard nut.
  20. Indeed? Are we repressing the dark thought that another draft mistake has been committed??
  21. As WYL said, impact players were needed. Jimmy doesn't have the presence or strength to impose himself on a game. Wines has done it in his first year.
  22. Sure?
  23. Forget about Daniel Cross. Will probably retire at the end of the season. Will be 31 next year and injuries are catching up with him.
  24. Did Viney pick Toumpas so that Vines wouldn't show up Jack jnr?
  25. MFC supporters are so damaged that the thought of having stuffed up another draft pick could send some spiralling into madness! Hence, the constant denial that keeps that sanity intact.
