  1. Not all reports are done on the spot. Judging by what other posters have said, it'll be a fine and that's good news.
  2. ...anyone see the umpire run into him? Someone please tell me it's only a fine...
  3. Striker475, I was yearning for this young man to come to the fore because he's a Melbourne player. His lack of development was disconcerting and I was afraid he was getting 'cheap' games, when Gawn might have been a better option in the interest of going forward. Last night, Stef was very, very good doing all those things that are necessary for his role in the team. He ran hard, blocked for our freakish midfield and zoned well - he needed to develop this part of his game. Now that he's had a taste of what he can do, I hope he keeps going. When this happens, I will gladly take everything back.
  4. I thought he was good last night, but I disagree that he's had a good month. 2 or 3 repeat performances and I'll be happy and I'll be wrong...but, no, not yet. Thanks. PS Loved the video.
  5. Another personal attack. Let's talk footy. What you should have said is, 'Your opinion is irrelevant' and which point I disagree. Thanks
  6. No, I don't think so.
  7. No. I don't think so.
  8. I'll give credit where credit is due and the young man was very good last night. He did things that were required last night - he blocked, chased and stayed on his man. This is the point I've been trying to make all along. With all due respect, I wouldn't pop him at full forward - he gets the yips. Rest him off the bench or go to the back pocket.
  9. Cale Morton was considered an elite midfielder 2 or 3 seasons ago - he needs to remain consistent and go hard eeevveerryyy week. Definitely has the footy smarts.
  10. Come on, Benno, let's talk footy. Don't make fantastical comparisons.
  11. I'm glad that we agree on the need for improvement. Not once have I spoken about perfection. This is a Stef Martin thread and I have an opinion. Thanks.
  12. Perhaps - but he needs to hone his defensive skills at Casey.
  13. I want to see different stats from Stef Martin. Kicking and handball efficiency, blocking, manning up, zoning, hard running. These are the things he can work on as he lacks natural footy skills/smarts.
  14. .....since Round 8 - Read it properly, Choko. I'll refrain from ending my post with a sarcastic flourish. Thanks.
  15. Happy to when I'm proven wrong. Nothing in that article talks about errant kicks, bad decision making, lack of blocking, manning up or running hard to cover a zone.
  16. Very well said, DJL. Roos is an arrogant, washed up egotist. I hate 'On the couch' now.
  17. Jeff White, yes No, not yet (if ever)
  18. I suppose his turnovers rile me - basic skill errors and poor judgement. I just don't see much there and the clock is ticking...
  19. Thanks for the debate and footy talk. You know, I really, really want to be proven wrong on this one....
  20. Okay, fair call - are the coaches ruining his career? Will he always be just a stop-gapper? What's his future?
  21. I thought big Jeff White was up there.....no?
  22. Maybe....but isn't he coaching Jamar as well?
  23. Yep, I have - he refuses to give it off.
  24. It's surprising that I'm expected to accept all the 'evidence' that people are throwing at me, yet some posters refuse to acknowledge his lack of improvement. Watch the replays. Please don't tell me to harden up, I choose not to.
