  1. Bloody hell - you've just surfaced some suppressed memories here. The scary thing is that I think I remember actually watching this episode.....(pulls security blanket tighter towards him)
  2. I hope the scoreline isn't the same tomorrow night........
  3. True - but with Jack's good looks, he will easily outsell Peter McKenna's single.
  4. Me too - one of our hard nuts that can match the Hawthorn psyche.
  5. I don't think JW would ever play like a JB - he doesn't have the presence. Brown set the tone early in his career.
  6. I don't think that anyone's wishing Jack to fail - everyone has a say and the discussion (for the most part) has been quite amicable.
  7. Jack has severe limitations in the intensity department. Can you change something that's not intrinsically innate? The love for a contest? To compete? I don't think so.
  8. Me too! Hawthorn give me the absolute s@&$s! I really want to see Rioli crunched, Buddy get a corky and our big enforcer Mitch really ruffle a few egos. I really want to see a contest!
  9. Too true - wasn't he overlooked for something like seven drafts??
  10. Thanks for the report. Great to hear Jurrah is back on the track. As regards to Jack Watts - you play how you train?
  11. He did talk ad nauseum about the spread and that there were too many players attacking one contest.... I think he's a big fan of Mitch Clark's.
  12. He's a lovely long kick....I know, I know, he can't get his hands on it. I suppose I'm coming from watching the NAB Cup and he kicked that beauty from 50m out with a wet ball. I'm clutching at straws, aren't I?
  13. Hear what you're saying, but I haven't seen the ability after so many years on the list. He will never fit into Neeld's game plan. The discipline, the shepherding, the skills, the hardness.....trade or delist at year's end. Sellar has been terrible and I'm not sure about the boy - but....having just watched yesterday's game again, delivery to him was rubbish. The ball was delivered on top of his head and he was surrounded by 2 or 3 defenders.
  14. Need Martin back asap? Backward step. He would be a dreadful in.
  15. Good point by you and Pennant.... Assuming all goes well with the court hearing, I'd love to see him subbing in a week's time. Can't wait.
  16. The Liam Jurrah comment is an interesting one - why not as a sub? It would just lift everyone!!
  17. That was last year. Granted he's been injured, but for mine, he plays like a millionaire, without regard for teammates around him. Every time he gets that ball, it's like watching The Office - cringeworthy. I agree that Sellar has been a disappointment, but it's time for new blood.
  18. Stef Martin is no longer part of the game plan - that's my opinion and I wanted to start a genial discussion about where this boy's at. I base my contention on the lack of improvement over the last five years. No footy smarts, terrible kick, lack of awareness and refuses to play a disciplined game. Delist or trade.
  19. Agree - time to blood anotheree. Stef Martin must never be considered until he plays to a disciplined effort.
  20. Recruit of the year. Just a rumour.....I heard he was playing sore today.
  21. Can someone please, please, please tell Jamar NOT to handball to someone three inches away from him whose got an opponent breathing down their neck?
  22. It's just that there's no....awareness of playing footy. Turns it over, thinks his designated role is a ball carrier. Quite undisciplined. Sorry, there's been no development at all.
  23. Might be time to blood a Fitzy or a Couch. By all reports Bennell will come in as he's had a couple of good weeks
  24. No, no, no - Stef Martin is a step in the wrong direction........
