Don't forget he's had some major injuries. I believe he'll get better with the new regime where there's actually some coaching going on and he'll be a terrific stopper or HFF

OD, I'm sure you've watched enough games to see why Bail gets a game - the guy just goes hard. Neeld will keep on playing him as a template for the others to follow. Jack V might hold the 'go hard' torch next year, but for the time being, Jordie, Jones and Bail are it.

Interesting that the boys got around him and wished him all the best. This is a healthy culture - the players are responding and working hard. Mark Neeld is putting so many good structures into place and I can't wait for 2013. Incidentally, Stef Martin will play 5 or 6 games with Lions before he gets dropped to the QAFL. Scoop.

stuie, you and I had an excellent debate about Martin about 3 months ago. You didn't want him gone, now you say '....Not saying we should have kept him....' - please make up your mind. Martin will languish in the QAFL for most of 2013 - has always been a good ressies player.

Fairly harsh here, mephis. Look at the replays objectively and you'll see a player that is a shadow of his former self. Has lost his pace, will not apply pressure and he gives away the chase, very, very quickly. Unfortunately, his time is up.
