tpm, I don't 'give' it to any Demonlanders - I love the debate. I'm not being cute, your post was terrific. We need to be patient.
-
Don't be pedantic. Yes, I think that GCS have less spuds than Richmond. Okay, too ambiguous for you.....I think that GCS are better than Richmond. Happy?
-
GCS are pretty good, stuie.

Have to cling onto something

Because, in footy, with a young, developing team, things can happen. Out of 180 attempted tackles from last week, 90 might just stick this time. They might kick 4 straight, rather than 4 behinds at a crucial time of the game. GWS pushed the Bombers, yet got smacked by the Crows. It happens. Btw, I rate GCS more than Richmond.

This is actually a measured, respectful post. Supporters who were maligning the presser chose to quote Neeld out of context. He is taking notes, giving nothing away. Our list will only improve. Blue skies coming. Tiges by 40 - 50 points.....but, it'll mean another game into Terlich, Strauss, Sellar, M Jones, Howe, Gawn, Evans, Dawes, Kent, Viney etc. And another week closer for Clark, three Jacks, Jamar and Sylvia.

The problem and the solution as largely detailed by P Jackson

Who's going to head up unity?? -
So, will Magner come in?
-
Do you reckon? I think he broke a few lines last night...went straight at it.
-
Strauss deserves more game time.

Better players than our current crop. Didn't strut around, refusing to do time trials or train properly. They were accountable and tough. Let's have a look at a few other names from the past, shall we? Morton Bennell Martin Cook Moloney

Been with you all the way, P_Man. My view hasn't changed - In fact, in the cold, dark light, I'm even more convinced that Neeld is the man for the job.
-
The sad reality is that our top ten players would be the top ten worst players in a successful club. The list has suffered from years and years of poor recruiting. People were bagging out Terlich and Sellar yesterday, but they STUCK TO THEIR JOB. They did the 'team' thing. Our youngsters need games!! Strauss ran the lines a couple of times, Evans continues to impress, M Jones is a goer and Dawes moved well and put on real pressure. Grab N Jones, J Viney, Clark, Dawes, M Jones, Terlich and Gawn and build a team around them. Let's all stop the sniping, shut out the press (who all belong in a George Orwell novel, 'Neeld is baaaaaad') and support this magnificent club.

How best to support the club at the present time

Will you still support Jackson if he endorses Neeld as coach? Just asking.... -
INTO DARKNESS: THE BOULEVARD OF BROKEN DREAMS

Roos? Nup. Clarkson? His team will play finals again and perhaps win a flag and he'll come to Melbourne? Nup. Ratten? Really? There's not much out there, is there? Anyway, work tomorrow, life goes on. Enjoy your week, stuie. Catch. -

No great loss...let's not turn it into a JW thread. I like Chippa and Col is playing well this year. -

Coaches. Blokes who have the cahonas to shake this club down. Who would you get? Biffen reckons ND has been approached, some say Ayres...forget Roos, he hates the Club. Matthews? Outta touch. Well? -

Honestly, I expect 10-12 more players to go at season's end. -

True, DF26 but look at their list, please. Objectify some of your thoughts. They got the best youngsters in the draft, arguably the best player of all time, truck load of money, AFL support, a few out of contract signings and it's all coming together for them. Our draft picks may well bury us. -

I don't think so. He'll see out the year. -

Wasn't too bad. He was measured and aware. He 'jots a few things down.' Expect another cull. -

But, Deano74, they're not good enough to have a crack - that's the point. We have players on the park that are not up to AFL standard. It's a brutal game and they just don't cut the mustard. -

Agreed - but terrible recruiting before his time is also costing us now. -
