  1. There's always a couple on every draft WonnaJurah
  2. But apparently was an extreme good runner. Obviously didn't help him too much . . .
  3. Why are they going after defenders? Heaps easier to steal a couple of decent ones than it is to snare forwards
  4. Not sure how true this is, but I've heard he was on parole to begin with. Though I'd suggest that's probably not 100% accurate
  5. That was the point I was making Rhino - he just doesn't seem up to it football wise. Not at a level that covers his pace concerns anyway. Covering 3km isn't going to help if the bloke you're playing on is consistently quicker over 20metres. Those time trials are a waste of time imo. If he'd been on par with Judd over repeat 20metre sprints then I might be impressed
  6. Lack of pace isn't too much of a concern if other areas of your game make up for it (guys like Greg Williams, Scott West, Sam Mitchell, Cameron Ling and Jobe Watson are testament to this). Unfortunately Brock (unfortunate for him anyway) is probably borderline on making up for it.
  7. From the article the first is definitely a king hit, the second one sort of implies that (depends on what they mean by the man running to assist the first one) and the 3rd we don't even know if that was (allegedly) Troy. Either way it's not the best start to one's career
  8. One would think the club has their own psychologists they use. But then again it is Carlton . . .
  9. I know of a couple of people involved in similar incidents. Not something I'd ever like to experience and I know they refuse to ever talk about it
  10. It's not too hard if you king hit all 3
  11. He's definitely not up to Divvy 1 standard anymore, but if Mazin's is anything to go by he'll go alright in 4th
  12. I think the Dees picking Gysberts because he's played with Scully is drawing a VERY long bow. Why not just pick all Dandenong Stingray players?
  13. I wasn't saying big as in brute size (otherwise Adam Slater would be close). I meant more how ripped they are. The guys I mentioned would have next to no muscle fat. re: Holland. Anyone who stands 196cm and 100kg is a big unit
  14. Yes. Drafting is very much a numbers game. Spriggs was flying until he did his knee. They key with their drafting was that they all came in at roughly the same time, then they introduced a couple of guys like Ottens and Mooney to fill a couple of 'needs' in their line up
  15. Geelong never bottomed out though, so theoretically their influx of players won't be of as high quality as yours. They did draft bloody well though . . .
