Goody chiming in on the Cats selection issues. Perhaps he wants to take a look at Menzel under finals conditions. :P

Anyone hear this interview? Did he say anything about the Dees?

Goodwin should not be making comments at this time of the year as to who should be playing. He is dreaming like he did on many game day occasions if he thinks Menzel would have made a change. He played JHK  for 3 games in a row when he averaged 3 possessions a game, great logic. Did not play B Kennedy and others once.   BTW Cats got to 2nd of the ladder because of umpire calls at CAT OVAL  (eg the Cats v Tiger  and Cats vs Freo games).

Shudder to think how he'd go in a final.

Hes not a bad player at all, but hes expendable and we need midfield balance.

Great guy,  gets the ball , gets to space BUT delivery is non AFL.  DUSTY and Danger have turnovers but they can stand up and win games

Tyson is a liability when kicking from 30 meters out.

So you fully expect both Brayshaw and Oliver to have clanger free games, setting the bar a bit high there?

360 would put him back facing the way he was by the way

    My BAD  180

Love Matt ,  he always give best , but he will be left behind, once Salem, Brayshaw, Oliver become standard ins.

  4. The depth in our young squad will see Matt out, he is really not up to it in comparison to Brayshaw, Oliver etc.  His 360 turn away from our goals and kicking it to opposition was an embarrassment, his running out of the backline with no pressure last week and turning it over on a bounce was bad. Not one of future players. He will be gone.

  5. I read all the post but do not often write posts, This is 100 % , I spoke to Nathan Jones and Mitch Clarke at Flinders St outside my office,

My main topic of conversation was the progress of Mitch and his injury.

He said he is ok and has no issues, "I am all good " Time to be happy everyone

  6. Great Passion TEX,

My family and nephews (most were DEES supporters ) noticed many awkward changes and decisions during the year., many tthat you have mentioned.

They refuse to pay and watch the boundary grabbing football and will not accept horrible school boy football. .

They now go and watch the best match available in the round and enjoy great football.

Most of your points are valid, Only those in denial could argue with you.

    This club is a MESS

  7. My daughter and nephews dropped us after the NAB match against the Hawks, they refused to go to school and get humiliated every week. They now follow the Hawks.

I take them them to every game possible, must admit watching a team play a nice style of Football is very enjoyable.

Still a DEE but have stopped going to games after round 1.

If we start a rebuild now and it's done correctly we should be okay in 3 to 4 years, I have seen to many failed rebuilds thus my hopes of anything great happening are not to great.

Not sure about Neeld and his style ,

  8. The ironic thing is that this is what he is doing, and weak idiot "supporters" such as yourself wont let him, 18 disposals today isnt a bad result, trouble is the bar is set so high for him

Also i wouldnt care if many of the [censored] ants in this thread go support another team, WE MFC SUPPORTERS DONT NEED YOU AT OUR CLUB, i would take half a Scully over everybody who says that they dont know why they support my GREAT club

    really weak comments imo

Not many of us left..we are a dying breed

    .

    Lets not lose any more

  9. Honestly though, it makes no sense to me why we do the loose man thing.

The only thing that makes marginal sense to me, is too far fetched... but stick with me a moment.

Maybe it's a development tactic? Our defense is pretty steady, the year is a write off - develop for the future by forcing our forwards to compete outnumbered, and our midfield to have it tough trying to deliver the ball in forward.

Theoretically, if we then play without a loose man down back, everything should work a lot easier.

The loose man in defense development tactic worked out for Jack Watts...

Ok, that's just too ridiculous for even me... but I can't fathom another reason.

    Anybody else got something?

    I'm at a loss.

    YEP ONE MORE

    WE HAVE A BAD SQUAD

  10. Malthouse now wondering why we have spare numbers on the opposite wing to where the ball is. 90 metres away, making no space that is relevant, and allowing West Coast to have extra numbers at the contest.

Goal to Kerr meanwhile. 27 to 8.

We are BAD , SAD and full of turnover specialists

  11. No point making the 8 just to be humitiated by 10 goals in the first week of finals....

I dont think we will get over 2 of the last three games.

Forget the West Coast game , I am hoping the loss is less than 6 goals.

  12. Pathetic club, ashamed to support such a bunch of talentless hacks. I like watts feel sorry for him playing with such a dud team

My Family left the game at half time

    Sick of it
