You've got to wonder; Why would Chris Judd be interested in MFC at all, unless he was really interested in us? We are obscure to the rest of the football world. We are not a club who gets in on every little drama, ala Collingwood and Essendon. We are an organisation that modestly goes about it's own business. So then why would he have us in his top 4? The more you think about that, the more you realise we are not in this simply to make up the numbers. This boy already has us in mind, if you ask me, and is merely going through the motions with the interviews.

As Coxy said, it would take a [censored] up of catastrophic proportions by us, or an absolutely sublime presentation by another club, in order to change Judd's mind.

Come on guys, all we needed to do was break even in the first half and we would have won easily. Forget injuries, we had none in the first 20 minutes and were 5 goals down.

Once again we are found wanting when the game is at its most intense – lets not waste time on demeaning Collingwood or their easy run this year– we have our own issues.

He will play better when the rest of the team does. Melbourne need to slow down the speed at which it is entering there defense. More pressure on opponents and more work from the mid field pushing back could help. I don't think it would matter who the opponent is the way the ball is getting delivered. I liked Melbournes game style when they moved quickly and kicked long, we seem to over possess causing turnovers or silly mistakes. We have the credentials to be a great side maybe our game plan needs looking at. Kicking goals has been a big problem, poor delivery into the forward line?

Carrol is not a FB , he is not very fast, his delivery and decision making is very poor ...more like a joker than a serious FB. We all had a laugh when Richo ran around and goaled while Carrol was still marking his mark.

Lets hope Frawley get the FB spot next year.

I would take a look at our crowds of 15000 and 16000 a game, our supporters are not showing up.

eg My daughter and her friends (10 of them) came to see the DEES win and sometimes lose in previous years.

Now they have stopped coming ...its "why come and see straight losers" , I convinced many at my work

that came from overseas to work and live in Melbourne to buy a membership.

After the 5th game they stopped coming, I can imagine how many more wont buy memberships next year.

Our financials might be okay for now, I fear what will happen in about 2 years.

I think the dees with get up but it with be a tough game with us winning by 5 points

Remember ... they have not had a belting this year, Malthouse locks out the backline even if they are 2 goals up.

His squad is drilled to hang on to the ball, I wish we did against Port, Dogs and Roos.

Just that now I notify AFL Supporters of when their VFL team is on the radio.

Like last week I got in contact with the Moderator of "Punt Road End" the Richmonda Tigers fans forum to let them know their VFL side Coburg was on the radio - they all tuned in and talked about it on the forum.

The main reason why i plug it (not just for our station) is that it won't be on ABC TV (they have the Tassie v Coburg match).

To give you full disclosure, 1611 AM won't be the only station there - 97.7 FM Casey Radio will aslo be there as well. Our signal is better reached in Melbourne's West, Bayside Suburbd and Geelong, whole Casey radio (based in Berwick) reaches the Outer South East better.

I dont know about you...but foot bal lis not ALL my life.. I have family, kids who like dad to spend time with them, have hobbies and other sporting interests.

Im guessing there are thousands like me. I OWE nothing to the club after their essentially weak and pathetic attempts at fielding a football team over the last 43 years since success. There have been 'lapses' whereby some modicum of false dawn was allowed to take to the field. there have been some fantastic and great players, just no great team !!..evidence....No premierships. Simple isnt it.

So who do I blame, or hold accountable ? The fans ? because ???? do they run the club ? do they run onto the grass ?..do we coach ? do we select ? do we draft, train, condition , mentor etc etc etc.

And now... when the despair is at its normal pitch.. its OUR fault again is it. Just how exactly is that ? please...explain to the 10's of thousands of Melbourne supporters. And note..we still are Melbourne supporters, god knows why !! we still would dare at times to dream of success.

Years back football was purely a passion, nearly every one did it on both sides of the fence mainly for the love of the game. Now its BIG business. many people glean more than a pretty penny from this gig. Players get paid for returns that would have them fired in any other job. Coaches give glib and lame reasons why they are failures... and in football they can spin their reprieve.

But according to some ...the simple act of attendance will make all well.. !! thats amazing.. Ive attended enough games in my life to not have to answer to anyone. Whether I choose to is my concern. If some filth at another club thinks that [email protected] he /it is pefectly entitled to that opinion.

Will i ever NOT follow Melbourne.. cant even contemplate how one does that :-) But should I and countless others consider there might be on occasions something better to do with our time.. thats for us. with membership doesnt really matter.. the money's paid anyway.

Its up to MFC to provide the product, not consumers to front hard earned money for a crappy product.

If you build it...they will come... build what ?? respect.. maybe some respect for the legions of fans and sponsors who have put theirs in.

I was there on Sunday but I did not feel bad for those who chose to stay away. They had better things to do.

Round 1 , not many injuries ... we lost by a better game plan

Round 2, Brock out , one player out , lost Neita in the 1st , no options left , we died

Round 3, Injuries to several players, we could not replace them, Holland and Caroll first half give me goals

set us up for silly football

Round 4, Yes Injuries, but its Comedy football , Ward, Godfrey, Wheatley, Jamar , Brown, Caroll,

etc , they are not up to it.
