  1. Did anyone else feel the massive earth tremors rock through Victoria at approx. 8:55PM???? I'm in Bulleen and the whole top level of my house was shaking, it felt like the ground was warping, DDAY COMING???

Yeah, look at the USGS site DEELIRIOUS... almost 700 reports of it from around Victoria. I felt it in Shepparton. Shook the furniture in my house.

Listed as a magnitude 5.2 centered on Moe.

Freaky. Never felt anything like it before.

  2. you only live once young fella

When does your Thai money sink get there? Say hi for me.

She gets in Sunday night. I am picking her up in your car coz my heater is shot... Hope you dont mind. I will owe you a tank of fuel Bro.

    Hehehehehe

  3. True Faulty I'm sure that some have come on here hoping to bury their past.

I'm sure that Ology will continue it's a good site and has some very good posters, Chook being one of them. I must say I have a look over there to see your bro take up the good fight on the general board and have a laugh as he tears the othere a new one.

I see I still rate a few mentions over there from time to time, such is life.

Hey Robbie. I think Ash used to quietly drop in from time to time to read the latest disagreement between myself and HE-WHO-MUST-NOT-BE-NAMED.

I tried my hardest to ignore most of it, but sometimes........................................

Anyhoo, i dont think its such a bad thing if 'Ology cant be resucitated. Moderation was abandoned long ago, and the personal abuse was totally out of hand from that one poster in particular.

As for your dislike of IRW.... i actually enjoy reading most of his stuff now. I think i just try to look at what he says from a different (not too serious) angle.

P.S. Faultydet..... Hope you catch many incurable diseases in the Philippines.

  4. Guys what can l say this is just absolutely brilliant - l am the Assistant Manager of the Mt Theo Program (and secretary of Yuendumu Footy Club in my spare time) and placed the initial bid from us yesterday at $350 and sadly saw others bidding past it. l fell sick (flu!) yesterday and today and l have leapt out of my Yuendumu sick bed upon hearing this news from our inspiring boss Susie to just say a huge thanks to you all who have contributed and especially the key organisers. Liam worked with us as a youth mentor in our Jaru Pirrjirdi project training to become a leader for Yuendumu. He has clearly exceeded all expectations! We are so proud of him, beyond that inspired by him and l am incredibly fortunate to call him my friend. And now you guys too are a bona fide personal part of Liams historic AFL journey.

As Martin Flanagan noted there has never been a story like Liams before. Best of all he is an even better young man than he is a footballer which is really saying something. l was lucky enough to be one of the few of Liams friend and family who traveled to Liams debut game to meet up with Rudeboy from the Industrial Magpies (and also Rupert Betheras) who also posts on here and has been crucial in Liams amazing and inspiring journey at the Melbourne end. Your club, and most especially Davey, Wonna and Ian Flack have been brilliant to Liam. You should feel bloody proud of what they have done. We stood there in tears as he ran out and l swear l jumped higher than he did when he kicked that first goal. And everybody here says Yuendumu went berserk! And so again we can feel happy, grateful and proud of your club and its members/supporters respect to Yuendumu and care for Liam. It is so much more than a game.

l know for a fact that it is very meaningful to Liam and Liams family to have that jumper back here in Yuendumu, where it truly belongs. A sacred jumper. You guys should feel so bloody proud of yourselves and we at Mt Theo, Yuendumu footy club, Yuendumu community (including us whitefellas) and all Warlpiri people are grateful. WOW. l'm a passionate Cats man through and through but l gotta tell you family comes first. Go Liam, Jungarrayi Jinta our Warlpiri Warrior and Go Dees. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Mate, this one reply made the amount of money i pledged completely irrelevant.

You cant buy the feeling that reading it just gave me.

Thanks, and best wishes to all the community up there. Happy to be a small part of it.

  5. The Age article described his game as a "Rampant display"

What in the world is journalism in this country doing to itself? 22 touches might be good for a teenager, but by the reports from the game he hardly tore it up.

Nothing like a bit of sensationalism is there?

  6. This kid flows like warm honey......... Smooth over the ground, and his kicking action is almost faultless. Hard to believe he is just a pup with half a dozen games under his belt. When he has around 50 games experience, and has gained the confidence of being a member of a side who regularly wins game ( which by that stage Melbourne WILL do), he may well turn out to be a star.

  7. Great effort by the young lady to get some publicity for our team. Its a pity that a combination of poor timeslot and predicted bad weather combined to keep numbers down.

The gathering before the game was small but vocal.

  8. Ding, I've been trying to create a new log in on Demonology also but I'm not having much luck. I'm not sure if the sign up page is down or if it's just me.

You cant do a new login a.t.m. but can still read the posts. Its just a small freebie i offered you and the others as thanks.

  9. Andrew, cant tell you how bloody proud i was when i read of your efforts to support our club. How the hell does anyone have the audacity to ask for such a big investment in a bottom of the ladder team? On you first meeting with the big-wigs? Astounding. You even mad Vlad sit up and take notice!!!!

Congratulations and heart felt thanks from all supporters of M.F.C.

I have started a thread to your good self and 3 others involved in sponsorship on Demonology. I hope you find it interesting.

    Go Dees! :D

  10. Hello Everyone.

I have just joined Demonland to answer a couple of questions about last Friday's game.

The umpiring was of a consistently low standard that had me shrugging my shoulders and scratching my head in bewilderment for much of the night.

I remember saying over the phone to my brothey Faultydet that the only 50 we gave away that i could understand and agree with was from a late sling tackle just outside 50 by Jamar. (remembering that 3x 50's cost us goals) The others were so bad i just stood there with my mouth open and a very dumb look on my face. Now i know we all look with suspicion on ANY decision that goes against our team, but to have 9 goals scored directly from frees certainly skewed the final result, and made it look worse than it was. (to me anyway.)

I was standing under the broadcast box and at one stage was waved away by the radio people for explaining a little too loudly on the phone to Faultydet just how bad some of the frees against us were.

We were not undisciplined enough to warrant the amount paid against us, so at least we can cling onto that.

Having said that............................ The last, short, quarter we played was atrocious. Very little pressure applied by us, smashed out of the center by Akker, and we looked a little disinterested.

    The good points?

Miller was GOOD. He actually read the play a few times and was in the right spot when the ball arrived. Not luck, he actually read the play. Went hard at it too without being over the top and likely to give away dumb frees. Warnock also did some good things.

Flash was great, as were Sylvia and Bate. Moloney looked as good fitness wise as i have ever seen him. (admittedly not that often) Jones IS A GUN.

Meeson was not hopeless but it was strange to see him in the center playing as a rover while Jamar was rucking. (yes, it actually happened a couple of times!)

I thought both Frawley and Petterd looked like players too. At least Frawley has some pace. Our centermen are not quick.

We do have problems in the back half though. I hope the like of Yze (he was soft as butter on Friday) and Green both spend time down back this year. Thats where we need them most.

It was not as bad as the score suggested guys and gals.

injuries permitting, we will win quite a few this year. I am sure of it.
