  1. Collingwood are close to the most intense, pressure (that silly named "frontal pressure") based side in the comp but tell me when yesterday did they intimidate with there attack on the player? They pressure you into turn overs (see Didak, Alan on Davey then PJ both turned it over for goals to Didak) then there skill level is just exceptional. So far off where we are in both instances and not related to hitting bodies hard.
  2. hahahahahaa.... oh you were not being funny....
  3. hahahaah.... oh you were not being funny....
  4. It wasn't a pandemic of swine effluant? Positive for mine was seeing the MFC really get behind the VWFL. A match was played before the big game between two of the VWFL sides and then all of the teams in the VWFL competition did a parade lap around the G. I thought it was fantastic to see and the ladies all looked like they were having a great day. Was out having a gasper or two and a couple of the teams were out having a kick to kick at half time, they can't get enough of the game. Hopefully the Dee's really try and push this association home to gain some new mad supporters.
  5. We have so many weaknesses all over the ground, one player won't make the difference RB especially up forward. BUT someone of LJ's speed and overhead ability would be huge for us, we are so slow up forward, rarely ever see one of our fwds with seperation from a defender where as you looked at the pies and everywhere across the ground they could get 4 steps on a MFC player in 6 steps!!! I would like to see Jurrah back it up again next week before jumping up for him as we tend to do on these sites. As you mentioned on other threads his upside is massive so lets not rush this potential gem.
  6. hahha hard to quite put your finger on what it is huh....
  7. Yea the Royal is not all it's cracked up to be, I recall one of the waitresses wandering around requesting tips for her "show" whilst smashing down a meat pie and chaffing on a dart. All class.
  8. Or there is The Corner Hotel a bit further along Swan st in Richmond, has a big roof top beer garden although it might not be the best for tomo's weather.
  9. $1000 a night out?!!! Geeeebus where was my invite???
  10. ah that is no good at all ha ha, you'll have to try and get us some pictures up on here of the community watching the game mate. Now next questions is how do we get the Yuendumu footy club to change from those filthy birds to the mighty Demons colours?
  11. Love reading this from German about LJ and the indigenous gents on the list: German said the club has some exceptional indigenous talent. "You can't give them too many boundaries, you've got to let them go out and let them use their talent," he said. Not to many boundries just watch the magic within a team structure. BRING IT ON!!! http://www.realfooty.com.au/news/rfnews/ju...4234424284.html
  12. For a guy who really doesn't speak to the media and seems to want to keep very quiet very interesting read and interesting on the timing of it. Very public outing of himself. Very troubled.... That is a bit of a stretch. He is just a normal person learning about life and himself.
  13. He been on yet?
  14. You have a few people over to watch the game with a few cold ones Japaljarri?
  15. Once you got past the "uhms" and "you know's" there was nothing much said from an 18 yr old.
  16. Can't wait to see him stringing games together and get his confidence up, running teams off there legs and dragging in some hangers.
  17. If junior is injured then Jones to start with Newts and Dunn to miss out unfortunatley. Would like to see Newts in that fwd line for an extended run to see if he has any chance of believing he can play at this level and show he has finally got the defensive side of his game sorted out.
  18. Yes agree to a degree but in our situation we need to play as many players as we can on our list to see if they are up to it and can play Bails plan. If you can't then you go back and work on it in the 2's. Once they think you are on the same page back you come.
  19. Sucha disappointing season for wonna. He was flying preseason and looked so fit and trimmed down. Hopefully he can get back for a few games at seasons end to get him fired up again for another hard preseason.
  20. The AFL seems to be helping them along with the ridiculous suspension handed out to him by the tribunal. Farsical to be suspended for "striking" when he only bumped him.
  21. Nope you are not on your pat there tata. He has shown enough so far coming back this season he should still be playing good lead up footy and have a few 5-for's in him. He needs to improve the defensive side of his game once he goes to ground (and he will continue to go to ground) and realise he is still in the contest even though he has not taken a hanger or not one grabbed it. One thing I wish he would work on is his arms out stretched, marks in front of his face/chest. he still goes for the safe chest mark option and gets spoiled easily. Overall yes Robbo does have it in him for sure, it is the other parts of his game he needs to improve on to get a game,
  22. Awesome thnks for the update mate. Great to hear the positives from someone close to him. I'll be around in a jiffy with my furniture to burn to keep him warm!!!
  23. Great to see you still around Rudey. You buying the dee's memebership next year i hope... Can i ask you a few questions about hopefully a decent future MFC player in Liam? How is Liam going with it all? I am sure there are bouts of home sickness and all but is the club looking after him in that sense? Also how is he coping with the colder weather, the food and the training program?
  24. some posters are concerned with his development and the fact they think as he has not played any games as the number 1 pick he might not be up to it.
  25. agree, every week someone posts a drop so and so thread or so an so is not going to be good enough. give it a rest and have some patience, it is fine to question but give it some time on players in there 1st season of footy. why compare previous no1 picks to watts??? the mfc have stated how many times they have a program he is on and they will not deviate from it, deal with it. he will play some games this year as a 17yr old, he will play his best footy in his 20's... we have years to go before we see his or any of the draftees from the last 3 years best footy.
