  1. Pregame in the centre square... McLean was in the middle. Kirk walked up to shake his hand. Mclean ignored it, spat into his own hands, Kirk just said "you won't shake my hand" (if I can lip read) and looked away like he didn't give a flying fig.
  2. I think that is a bit over the top Tingles.. While I think he looked like a fair ye olde goose most "disrespectful, arrogant, worthless thing I have ever seen" is a bit of a stretch my goos man. I'd suggest Libba eye gouging and sniping Knights would top it, Matthews king hit on the Bruns, Solomon on Ling I'll add Lockett on Caven (exploding his face) etc etc are worth of comments like that.
  3. haha very harsh brother, very harsh. Don't agree mate.
  4. Cheers wasn't sure it was.. HAHAHAHHA train went past and blew it's horn... Ump's thought it as the siren and stopped the game with 50 seconds to go in 1st!!!!
  5. I hate them, I hate them because they are the club I wish we were (for the last 30 years). Ruthless, dominant, constant winners, so called family club, record members (even if half of them are dogs, cats and Tassie members). Everything we and the likes of Jim, Cam, Chris and Dean are striving for for the next 2 generations!
  6. Jetta a year too late, nice run and give, recieve and pass to set up Swans 1st goal...
  7. Ridiculous. He gave all he could to MFC, blood sweat and tears, including a large donation to keep us alive. He looked like a complete jack boot not shaking one of the fairest, hardest players of our era's hand but ridiculous.
  8. ...aaahhh hahahha Mclean didn't shake Brett Kirks hand before the bounce!!! It's a pracice match Mclean you [censored], Kirk is 10 times the player you have been to date.
  9. PS $105 cab fair from the "city" to Bankstown. A little bit less than from Melbourne city to Cranbourne...
  10. Just tuned into the Swans vs Blues game. "Sold Out", looks like pretty much a full house of around 10,000 or 20,000 I think they said. Looks like a slightly upgraded Casey set up. The ground is in a bowl so the fans a basically sitting on a small hill with the ground below them, would be great veiwing. Mclean looks really fit but expecting the same run all day but one paced game, Lauchie Henderson is the one I'm interested to see play who came to Blues from Brissie for old pissy pants Fevola
  11. From 'ology My link The earlier drills were done at a good level of intensity with the usual suspects standing out for both good and bad. Here is quick run down on some of the individuals: Bartram: Missed some easy targets in the earlier stuff and was very quick to head to his car which was interesting, until I found out it was his birthday and he was going out. Watts: Stationary work after a heavy gym session. His reflexes and quick hands were incredible with his mates making his life difficult. No one in that group could work as quickly and accurately. 1 more week.... Bate: Run 200m sprints and worked with the rehab boys. 1-2 weeks Miller: Missed lots of targets but his workrate and voice cannot be underestimated for such a young team. Trengove: Looked good. He and Scully left the simulation early to warm down. Dunn: Apparently pulled up pretty sore. Precautionary. Petterd: A favourite of mine but he is a butcher by foot. Really disappointed with his field kicking. Garland: Did everything and to be honest, looked better than expected in the simulation where he played down back. Bell: Yikes. Jurrah: Played FF. Kicked a nice goal from a long way out. Newton: Trained hard but made mistakes. Looks bigger but I am unsure what to expect. Bruce: Short session for him. Couldn't find out how much longer he will be out. Not moving well. Wonaeamirri: Like Garlo, did everything. His kicking is a delight to watch. Pretty vocal too which is surprising. Davey: 60-40 to play this week. Did everything at half pace. Gawn: I cannot believe how coordinated this kid is. His stationary work was incredible. Seems to be running pretty well too. Blease: Running well and judging from his attitude and movement is close to coming back. Kicking short kicks on the sidelines with coaches is a step up I believe. Tapscott: This kid looks a little sad. Walking laps and stationary work. Some funny updates.... Belly, Gawn and Tappy. Gawn looks coordinated whilst standing still hahahha
  12. It really is a sad situation for the woman involved, for the Saints footy club and for a guy who has a history against woman that one his last chance at footy he "allegedly" (is it still allegedly?) interfered with a sleeping woman.
  13. I have seen very little over reaction, besides someone saying of of the new recruits will not make it, people went and saw a match and made observastions on what they saw. Everyone sees the same thing differently. Time will tell, all you can do is make observations on what is put before you.
  14. Rojik it's funny as he just looks to be effortless in playing footy so I he tends to look like a no frills game whilst still looking like he ight do something spectacular at points. He has the x factor but it certainly wasn't needed today but his ability to get space (and I'm talking 10 meters in front of any other player all of his own) close to goal is exceptional. Maric looks like he works really hard for his kicks and was working his but off today but just couldn't seem to find a huge amount of space, wouldn't write him off yet as he does look a lot fitter. Not sure he has a turn of pace though.
  15. PS the umpires really had it in for us all day today too!!
  16. Agree with that even to an extent that if "Frank" Spencer can continue the improvement level Jamar could also join Green in slotting into the fd line for stinks to hopefully give us more bite whilst Frank spend time in the ruck. Heres hoping the improvement continues rapidly. That is what I love about peoples impressions of seeing the same game, we all have such different views on things. I'm not having a crack in any way shape or form pitmaster I thought out skill level was poor. Turn overs by hand and foot and running ourselves into trouble similar to last year was pretty prevelant today.
  17. Hindsite is an amazing super power you have there Old Xav!! You can use it to take over one opposition supporters forum at a time. Please oh wise one tells some more amazing hindsite knowledge we stand in awe of you oh great one.
  18. I know people will say oh it's only preseason (and I'm not flying off the handle saying oh my god it is all doom and gloom) but for full time footballers to make the same mistakes as the past two years when impoving skill level through training and draftingn is amazing to see. Most glaring one was Maric had worked his tail off to get into space in the fwd near the main gate for Dunn who was in 5 meteres of space with very little pressure over shot Maric by 5 meters leaving Maric to trail it out of bounds... Over use of the ball is something that might disappear a bit as they get more comfortable in game conditions again. But yes teams will see that today and just put as much pressure on the ball carrier by harrassing him and have him try to find a target up the field into a zone.. turn over, rebound, goal.
  19. Whilst NikNat was brilliant to watch last night (his chasing, tackling and defensive pressure were highlights) he wasn't exactly playing against Paddy Ryder was he......
  20. Personally I thought our general skill level was poor. Missing wide open teammates by hand and foot. Running ourselves into trouble as has been the norm for last couple of years. Was standing just next to Rob Harvey and Lapping from Carlton they had quite a few laughs during the game. Our fwd line will be our achillies heal again this year after only one viewing. Besides Jurrah who has an ability to find space on his own inside our fwd 20m after moving high up the ground it is same old guys like Miller and Newts being soundly beaten by our backs today. With Green dropping back into the fwd for spells adds another dimension. If Spencer can improve more and maybe give the Russian some more time to spend up fwd if needed whilst young Jack develops. Positives was Spencer played well, moved well for a man of his size. Bennell looks to have improved. Obviously seeing the new boys out there as a highlight, Trengove was the best of them. Gyza although wasn't outstanding he has really good hands below his knees for a guy of his size. PS Was goo to see Gary Lyon there, Jimmy got him up for an impromtu interview session with Watts and Bate who were both on the sidelines today. Also Schwabby wandering around in the crowd stopping for a chat to people was good to see as well.
  21. "friend" clearly not!
  22. It's the footy, it's out at Casey............... does a bear .... the woods?
  23. Ha it would take weeks on that bike but would be so much fun! No mate I sold it before I went London last year to a mate. Will be the little old Peugot instead HT.
  24. What about a car pool for those looking at public transport? I'd be happy to pick up a couple on the way through from North Melb if anyone wants a lift.
  25. Seeing Wona during the preseason last year his foot skills are very nice on the stab passes and his hands below his knees was also a highlight. Was really eaxcited about him last year I hope we get to see some magic this year from him. Maric, even though he is still young is someone I had high hopes for last year and again this year. The coaches spent a lot of time with him last year working on his fitness and the defensive side of his game so again am excited to see how he has coming along this year.
