  1. Adrian Whitehead maybe. I used to work with him at the Rose Hotel in Richmond. He fractured his foot and came back to early and fractured it again if I recall.
  2. What has always amazed me about the NHL is the fact they still wear those "helmets" to protect themselves. They are pieces of plastic and it is too ingrained in the hockey players psyche to actually think about wearing a helmet that might protect the brain in some of the most violent hits you will see. And to read this gives me a loss for words. Good Luck Belly: "I heard him on the radio this morning and he said he used find himself in the wrong spots on the ground and could not remember why he was there or where he should have been. Used to get embarrassed when it was raised at team meetings."
  3. Just purchaaaaasssed mine. Bring it!
  4. Another of Todd's articles, very light one detail but one point stuck out to me: "Were still a developing team and were not in the premiership window yet:" So expect another year or two of development folks who are getting a little excited about where we are at. http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/7415/newsid/109883/default.aspx
  5. Ox said he had set up 2 meetings with Fevola to talk, assist, offer advice. Both times Fevola did not turn up... As Ox also said Fevola knows he is a figure head, he is known, he will be seen and commented on most places he goes let alone a pokies venue but his 'addiction' still drives him to go to a pokies venue. Football should be a perihperal idea to getting his life back on track. The only problem with that is football seems to be all he knows, it is his job providing his income. He has no other outlet to channel his energy and mind. Don't know how it will end but it is not pretty to see unfolding.
  6. Walking around the G high fiving each other....
  7. They have been doing that at the highest levels of rugby for years. I recall during the Rugby WC in Aust after a game at Docklands seeing all of the subs doing suicide sprints up and down the ground for at least an hour after the game had finished.
  8. Brendan Fevola Arrested
  9. The Bronx... March 3rd!!!!!
  10. Thumbs up
  11. Isn't that what you're making your judgement on E? Or have you seen him play a few games live? Not disputing just seemed like a lot of up and unders in the package shown.
  12. I think I counted he hit 3 out of 9 targets by foot.
  13. Nice read Mr Jones. Thank you for sharing the experience. If it wasn't for the website we would not have been able to share it. All the best Oz.
  14. "righto now Greg just think of that ball as a pie and you'll be right, now get out there!"
  15. ..... Cameron would have loved playing for us the last 5 years in our forward line... "he is one of the best players below his knees in Victoria." Plenty of fwds have made it in footy being "outside" players. Milne says hi for one.
  16. Whether Newts has the talent of Neagle is debatable but Newts has show more desire to chase, tackle and put his body on the line than what I have seen of Neagle. Says a lot for where Neagle is at. Would be an interesting story though...
  17. +1
  18. Immoral... How is what he did immoral? We have no idea of the inner workings of the negotiations in anyway, media rumor and innuendo aside. He played FOOTBALL for a club for 200 odd games and was at some points a Brownlow medal favorite. He was apparently offered contract, he apparently wanted more, apparently his employer didn't budge he apparently thinks he will get a better contract for his needs somewhere else. I don't see anything immoral in that.
  19. Kudos!
  20. For a "fat bloke" Newton looks like he is out pacing a few.....
  21. Well he is married to J-Lo, that would be a tough gig.
  22. Bail's just refuted this on SEN this morning. Was asked directly about Thorp being a foil for Killer, he said he had no idea of Thorp being in our plans.
  23. I'd like to see his body stand up to a half a season let a lone a full season in the fwd line before chucking our most valuable scoring asset up the ground.
  24. Chapman has potential to really drop away especially with his hammy problems, Hunt is average always seems like he will dominate but never quite gets there, Ottens similar to Corey starting to age very quickly. Ling is the one who has already shown some drop off over this season he could be battling for a spot next year.
  25. You mean after Jim Stynes.... Jurrah could be....
