  1. I was going to say, the injection regime they signed waivers to be involved in...
  2. Seeing Stokes in the news, don't think there is much to worry about in then winning to many games. His cake in take was up during his retirement.
  3. Mate I think we have seen AFL clubs are not as sharp as we think they are when it comes to players.
  4. I read parts of it and it is a good read. Sporting organisations again trying to push their own outcomes and failing. They'll never learn.
  5. Yes GT going to be awesome run in, teams sitting some points of have a heap of games on the Avs for one.
  6. Yea true I guess I was just thinking of the dosages people on the weekend take, usually a lot. If you can dose up smaller amounts it may be of assitance.
  7. Yea what a spud, not like you.
  8. DC taking 5 people to bring down an ice head and that person going out to play high level sport... I just can't correlate it.
  9. I think you are being facetious jnr. I was trying to clarify my recollection of Lewis comments which I believe related to players getting on the gear and when on nights out. Rather than him flagging a trend for players getting into PEDs to enhance performance. I can't imagine playing on Cousins fav, or any other party drugs and it enhancing performance but I could very well be wrong as I've not really tried them.
  10. Avs bounce back from a horrible game with a big comeback win in the Kings. Move up in the standings again but the teams around us have plenty of games in hand on us. We really need the break to recharge.
  11. Baz was that more party drugs than PEDs?
  12. All the upside... http://deadspin.com/cops-seahawks-fb-derrick-coleman-said-he-smoked-spice-1755079215
  13. http://fittish.deadspin.com/the-passion-of-dick-pound-track-and-fields-savior-sell-1754166954 "It was surreal, appalling, unbelievable. I thought I must’ve had a stroke, and wondered what duress Pound could have been under to perform such a grotesque display of betrayal and self-mockery."
  14. GTG I have the NHL season pass and was listening to the Leafs v Habs intro's before the game on Sunday. Steeped in the past it was, but it is a glorious one.
  15. Ha, I think you could sub in Maple leafs into that gag as well.
  16. Whilst I agree with a number of points Macca, Pound chit the bed big time on the recent IAAF issues and Seb Coe I thought. Saying the IAAF exec had to know what was going on yet praising Coe as the man to clean it up when he had been on said exec didn't make a lot of sense.
  17. holy chit!!!! There decent into madness has been epic. My best make is a mad Habs man. Had him over on Sunday watching the Habs and flicking to the Avs game. One of us was happy, even though Varly was shelled we won.
  18. Another one... Good to see Mr Alvi mentoring another pharmacist. http://www.theage.com.au/national/health/pharmacist-shadi-kazeme-under-fire-over-intravenous-vitamin-drips-20160126-gme5ka.html
  19. It's little wonder the AFL and people associated with AFL want out of WADA and into their own thing. NHL player is given a 20 game suspension (they play 82 regular season games for the season) for PED use. They have not released what he used or how often. Good to see the league ready and willing to discuss the issue too, "The National Hockey League will have no further comment on this matter." http://deadspin.com/ducks-shawn-horcoff-suspended-20-games-for-using-peds-1755221385 PS what an amazing name for your own doping authority: NHL/NHLPA Program for Substance Abuse and Behavioral Health
  20. Aren't there "no records", so how would they know?
  21. I recall seeing Hardie in a Cronulla top trying to shield Dank from the press after Dank left a court session of some sort. Fanboy of the highest order.
  22. While I do recall some comments that Healy had raised it I clearly remember in 2012 an article with the AFL bemoaning the influence of sports "scientists" and them by passing club docs. Feels like they were on to something but didn't push it further. http://m.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/afls-war-with-sports-scientists-20120312-1uwi3.html "THE AFL has unofficially declared war on the game's high performance managers in the growing frustration that their influence at some clubs is running out The move will come at next week's coaches conference after senior AFL doctors protested that they were being overruled in certain cases, potentially endangering player health and safety..... A final straw for the AFL came last week when Essendon blamed its fitness and recovery advice on the decision to fly to Wangaratta for a pre-season game when the bus journey would have taken 2½ hours. Some clubs pay as much as $300,000 for a respected high performance manager. The issue has also raised eyebrows at the AFL Players Association, which last year invited Seward, Geelong's former club doctor, and the Cats' high performance expert to address the players on the issue. The AFL regards the Geelong model as among the best practice the game has on offer."
  23. Has anyone working in an AFL club come out and said the CAS ruling was the right call?
  24. No actual training reports though?
  25. Didn't someone say not too long ago on here the calf may see him retire, and potentially in the short term?
