Fair points Macca. There is no standard across all sports to testing so it is apples, oranges, carrots and watermellons we are comparing.

Livestrong not doing so well.... http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/lance-armstrong-livestrong-struggling-athletes-590883 Flogs like Stiller and Robin Williams annoy the hell out of me too, when it was cool to be sniffing LA fa rts they followed him and Livestrong religiously, now not a peep. In saying that, the charity is/was not following it's own mission.

It is galling he denied/lied again about it to the OGE review but now comes out and "admits" his guilt after he retires and only AS he was about to be outed by the French... FFS. Also here are the 18 that tested positive out of the '89 tour for EPO. There has alos been mention that they may test/release more names from other tours. Where the fark is the pathetic UCI in all of this still, how those clowns can still be running the UCI and sport is beoynd me. How the rest of people involved in the sport can allow it to happen is insane. The 18 cyclists who tested positive are: Marco Pantani, Jan Ullrich, Mario Cipollini, Laurent Jalabert, Erik Zabel, Bo Hamburger, Manuel Beltran, Andrea Tafi, Marcos Serrano, Jackie Durand, Jens Heppner, Jeroen Blijlevens, Nicola Minali, Fabio Sacchi, Eddy Mazzoleni, Abraham Olano, Laurent Desbiens and Kevin Livingston.

And so do the riders for allowing it to happen. Really good article by Sam Lane http://m.theage.com.au/sport/cycling/ogradys-secret-fails-his-team-and-all-it-claims-to-stand-for-20130725-2qngc.html

Yea I know Mac and I agree, there were not enough Bassons, who has been found guilty of doping too, in cycling at the time. The sycophant's who run the sport have so much blame and disgust to wear. Fark me I could not believe one of Armstrong lawyers arguments was "you heard all the rumors you should have known."

Robbie Mc and Jonks were on the 98 Tour and not named apparently, Stuaie was the only Aussie from 98 named. In saying that there is talk they may look to other tours and samples from those so who the hell knows what else. It is a bit of "well deeerrrr we know they ALL doped" in that period but for blokes like Stu and to think Robbie Mc or an Evans did would just about push me out of the sport all together.

Ah Stuaie.... Doped on the 98 tour of shame. Massive career shame it ends with this. http://www.theage.com.au/sport/cycling/stuart-ogrady-admits-to-tour-de-france-doping-20130725-2qk04.html

Massive withdrawals!!!

CYCLING
Was over before it started, Sky and Froome worked hard to develop a great squad and a great way to win, the constant cadence just turning over especially up the climbs. The Sky squad with Thomas riding with a cracked hip, Ritchie Porte besides one bad day was epic. Froome was clearly the best rider over the 3 weeks, head and shoulders above the rest, congratulations to a deserved winner. The little Q wow!! He is going to be a super star maybe as early as next year but definitely 2-3 years from now. Would not be surprised if he wins a number of Tour titles on this years performance. Cadel, well what can you say but he looks done. I hope he has one more Tour in him and can show people the great rider he is as this year was not him. BMC clearly a fractured, disjointed team where you can imagine massive changes for next years Tour. Will be interesting to see if Wiggo gets his hunger back after seeing Froome win, and if he stays with Sky as others are sniffing around like OGE. Overall hoping next year is a little tighter, but what a gruelling Tour this year and it was great to watch almost all of it.

Yea was really disappointing, as you said obviously they were knackered but was hoping they'd push Sky/Froome over the last 5ks of the last climb but not to be. Froome has it done and dusted.

!!!! It is just insane! Another killer day. The Madeline is bad enough on its own.

Good god they annoy the hell out of me! I do hope the rest of the teams just go stuff it why not float the rules too.

What a great stage!!!! 2 trips up the mountain fark me! What a great finish with Riblon finding his legs again and grabbing TVG. Just amazing what athletes these guys are. Cadel has dropped his bundle mentally which is really sad to see. Tejay VG was epic but just couldn't get over the line after his bike issue on the drop down. Ritchie Porte what a ride, dragging Froome across the top on the 2nd trip up, waiting to see if the organisers get into Sky for clearly breaching the rules with Froome having a top up when he cracked. It will be [censored] weak for sure, all of the other teams follow the rules but not Sky. If I was on Saxo or BMC I would just had feed bags and top ups every 2ks in the last 10 from now on. The little Q is going to be a GC winner for years once he matures a little bit more. If he can improve his TT especially.

JJ taking it easy and finishinga hilly TY behind Cav is too far haha. Macca I just can't see Froome losing, he is easily the best climber this Tour, Cont is "not the same" as a few years ago and still not 100%, and the little Quint is still too young. So excited for next few nights.

Funny I heard P&P (Paul Sherwin and Phil Liggett) mention the issue last night. two things is raises for me, 1) I think P&P have been really poor this year commentating. Saying things like Cadel had only dropped 2mins on the team TT was no big deal, not really aware of what has occurred with the feed bags. 2) Why did P&P or other journo's not chase that down if it is a breach of rules, or did UCI say it was ok? What ever the outcome at least be a journo and follow it up not just brush it off. I think of footy commentators and if something happens during the game they will try and find an answer if not during hte game, after the game, if not after during the week after. Who knows maybe that is just the tiredness from so many late nights haha.

Yea mate I have no sympathy, they all put with the poo, they need to clean it up now. And until they release ALL of the personal data on themselves then again you have to question.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/othersports/cycling/tour-de-france/10181430/Tour-de-France-2013-race-leader-Chris-Froome-cannot-escape-shadow-of-disgraced-Lance-Armstrong.html I find it laughable they are getting their backs up about the cynisim on Froome's domination. Cycling allowed the likes of Landis, Pantani, Chippolini, Merckx and the Armstongs to dope, continue to dope, win and DIE, yet now when the world is so cynical of a potentially great rider they huff and puff about it. How many riders lives were destroyed by taking the drugs, how many lives and careers were destoryed by NOT taking the drugs, I think of Cadel who could have won 2-3 Tours but dopers like Contador (I have a real dislike for him) got in the way. Well cycling old chum suck it up princess, you've made your bed now lay in it I'm afraid.

I should have said 1 star and 1 future star, the little Q will be a super star and you know what I can't wait to watch his years of dominance. With another indivdual TT coming up Froome will extend his lead even further, 6+ mins anyone? Then will be interesting to see how all pull up going into the next mountain stages. I just wish Cadel was 3 years younger as I think it would be a close Tour if he was.
