Win now, yes but we have seen the club has been able to cobble together trades to get back into first rounds/update picks let alone being able to pick quality later in the draft. Again as others have said we've stock piled top end talent, now is the time to hit finals hard.

Not sure about you DOX but I could care less about next years draft (looks like Footy Dept are in same boat), I care about us making a deep run into finals next year. This helps us do that.

No idea why people are getting shirty about the trade. It is not earth shatteringly bad, we wanted him, we paid what we thought was fair. As other have said the draft is a fair old cr@ p shoot, it is better to bring in talented/developed players than constantly spend at the draft when a club hits our age profile and have had the "luxury" of having low draft picks over a number of years. in Mahns we trust! Yea the more I think about it the more agree with the above, we have to pay slightly overs to bring a player in. A player who will hopefully push us closer to a flag, you need to suck it up a little bit guys and focus on next season.

Who's on heaps less D that thinks they have more value? Lever is being paid on form and potential to drive us to the next step, hopefully the playing group can give it time to see how it works out and not get their noses out of joint.

It was probably abut half way through the season Skuit, once he got on the park and had a few games under his belt, all forgotten. That's why I find the hang wringing on these threads quite amusing. Until they have played for us you just don't know how it all plays out let alone we have no idea of the actual $4 or trade at this point.
