Welcome to the MFC. Without the AFL intervention we would not have won in 2021. We are mostly a mid range club, we get into finals but quickly get booted. If your beats true, I’m afraid this is it. I was there in ‘64 - that was the end of the great era.

Reality check. The AFL is not just a sports organisation, its a big business and you have to follow the money to understand its decisions. Suspending Maynard at this time, is bad for business. BUT the class action looming in the background re the AFL’s duty of care to protect players now looks very shaky after this horrific incident. To be continued……. .

A win isnt critical for us at this stage of the season. North has more to play for. Need to be planning for finals, not to bust ouselves in uncritical games.
