  1. Hi Andy You asked me to repost this for the mid season review so here we are with a couple of modifications, although it was answered to a certain extent last week. Your thoughts on this as a potential forward line going into the future, not just next week but beyond BBB and TMac. JvR because he is a developing champion Petty because Goodie has made it clear that’s where he wants him, pre knee Tomo may be back and gives us two solid talls up front Fritsch because he is a goal machine Kossie because he’s Kossie Now it gets harder: I love Chandler and think he is an intelligent player. I love Spargo’s delivery inside but given Smith can play fast and small as well as tall, one of them out for him. This also fits with our small forward roles as pressure first, goals second. So I see it as possibly JVR, Petty, Fritsch, Smith, Kossie, Chandler. Spargo as first drop and Schache as tall backup. Alternatively Smith could be permanent sub given his flexibility. Thoughts?
  2. Really the thought of a pies Lions final at the Gabba is so juicy! Unfortunately very unlikely though.
  3. I was doing the same on Monday night with Moore and the other backline headband.
  4. Daddy Daicos was one of the first of this build I noticed.
  5. As I have posted before; suspensions will never be consistent because of the media influence and the player status being factors. Every hearing should begin with this question. What would the result be if this was Daicos or Bont? Then proceed from there.
  6. In the zone there is Trac!! I think he is actually just a nice guy though. Often see he and Clarrie put a hand out to help an oppo player up but don’t see many others doing the same.
  7. Probably right, just thought it was an interesting proposition, especially given our small forwards have mainly been applying pressure as opposed to actually kicking goals.

  9. It goes against decades of conditioning against finding anything positive about Collingwood … but credit where due, McRae is pretty damned impressive.
  10. According to the media the Amazing Pies almost did their mythical thing again against some other team.
  11. Really impressive display and great by many players but special mention to two D’Land whipping boys - Tomlinson and Smith.
  12. Do these Fox commentators get paid money. “Melbourne’s main problem is an inability to score” are we not one of highest scoring teams?
  13. Untitled design 2.mp4 My daughter just took this vid of her new puppy. Hoping it is not insight into WCW’s talked about new Goody strategy for today. Go you good Dees!!!!!
  14. Not sure if I am more apprehensive about the umpires or game day thread today.
  15. Presume Pie players who are sick would be responsible citizens and stay home Monday so as to not risk spreading their disease.
  16. Looking to King’s Birthday. I see this as 2 possibilities: 1. There really is a training load factor in which case we will struggle to get the job done against a hard running team as per recent history. Incidentally why would the Pies also not be in load phase? 2. We have been setting ourselves for this game to launch full bore into the second half of the season with a positive kick off. How do you guys see it?
  17. Deserving of “The Far Side” footy award!
  18. I do wonder what happened to our 3 tall backs setup that seemed to dominate. Petty forward has impacted Lever’s role in my opinion. Maybe Disco should be in. (Even Tommo.). No idea who would come out.
  19. Really don’t think it will ever happen to be honest. Annoying that we voted for a new team in Tassie that is contingent on them having their own new undercover stadium with, no doubt, state of the art office and training facilities. Something to ponder whilst driving to wet and windy Casey.
  20. From the medical report I got: As far as Oliver goes- we don’t know We didn’t stuff up letting him play in because we only found out after the match - dubious Everyone is progressing well - hmmm
  21. YouTube
  22. Bit weird watch Weid play well and then a GWS forward line with Bedford and Hogan in it.
  23. One of the StKilda player taken off on stretcher cart thing. Looked nasty, hopefully ok.
  24. I think for consistency sake the MRO should start every possible suspension with the supposition, “Would this be a suspension if it was Bont or Daicos?” Then go from there.
  25. Our Boo in training showing the same amazing coordination skills as ……… (insert least favourite player) https://youtu.be/SS7MXAxffN8
