I hope Turner spends time forward when lever is back. He moves. Petty does make a contest forward too.

I think his demise is greatly exaggerated, particularly being a little underdone. It would be interesting to count his 1-1 win/loss next game? Plus, the extra wins when he has beaten his man, and so goes leaves him to go to the next. But yes, need to develop the next may. Turner the most likely but I like him forward.

I’d prefer Turner over Fullerton, JVR and Fritsch at this point. But then who helps max…

This game day thread is a carbon copy of a in-season 2024 game day thread. Unfortunately. Poor skills, poor conversion, lack of ball movement. The only slight difference I see is more chip and less long down the line.

We’re not observers. We are the club. Without us, the club is nothing. We only observe on game day. The people at the club are custodians for today. Voting by withholding dollars is short sighted. It might also be more effective that you’d like it to be. See post above.

Financial and other reasons aside, if you don’t renew because of the issues at the club, you can’t throw stones at Trac for considering the same. Clubs are built on members. Don’t bemoan our demise or that we’re not a “big club” if you don’t renew. It’s pretty poor if there are some passionate enough to post on here, but who won’t renew (or only mcc). If you’re doing it to make a statement, that statement will come quicker than expected. It wasn’t long ago we almost faded into oblivion. The club is bigger than the president, ceo, Goodwin or whoever else. If you have the means, sign the f up.

I rarely post, and I don’t mean to pick on one line, but I need to call this out. I appreciate its emotional after a bad loss, but threats of withholding membership, conditional to x or y, is not what the Melbourne Football Club is about (although we’re accused weekly of being a fickle supporter base, and worse). The club is bigger than any one season, coach, player, president, captain, x or y. We barely survived after norm smith and I got to see 2021 because of that survival. I hope to bring my kids and grandkids to the footy and see a live premiership. The only thing most supporters can do to contribute is sign up. Sign their kids up, sign their partner up, sign their dog up. And paint their fence red and blue the next time we make a grand final. Don’t let a set back today ruin that future.

I haven't slept properly for a week and only need 1 coffee to get going for the past 2 days. Soak it in Demonland! Seeing the post-game scenes makes it a little bittersweet from here in Melbourne but nothing will take away from Maxy and the boys bringin it home!!
