Mate I wasn't trying to create any 'narrative.' Don't know why you are spinning it that way. I'm just going by own observations and I feel that the way we played the other day was different to how we have played during many of the matches earlier in the season. As for 'bagging' Goodwin, I have not once made any personal comments about him at all. My recent criticisms towards him were to do with his coaching and methods. That should be totally acceptable on a public forum. Not to mention that in the past I have also acknowledged the good work he has done and I have stuck up for numerous players when I felt like they were unfairly attacked. I find it funny how you always lecture people on how to behave yet you can be just as personal and antagonistic as anyone else.

It was a shame about the final outcome and I really wish we would sort out our inability to win close games but I actually really enjoyed today. We played fast, free flowing and daring football. I haven't seen us play with such an attacking mindset all year. I'd much rather lose a game trying something new than repeatedly losing games playing the exact same style.

I just thought that you overstated supporters' involvement in the sacking because there's no way the board bases its decisions on what people on this site are saying (as @Jaded No More said earlier). Despite how chaotic the last few days have been I thought it would be a good opportunity to acknowledge a fine achievement from a great contributor for us. I have always had a lot of time for this guy. I thought he was arguably the best wingman in the game from 2020-2022. He's still a bloody fine player now though. His professionalism and durability are second to none. He's a great guy to have around the club too. I actually don't think he's a bad option for our next skipper. He seems like the introverted type but he's clearly very popular with his teammates. Best of luck for your 200th Ed!

I really hope that we don't get Simpson. Given that West Coast are a far bigger and much more resourceful club than it us it says a lot that that they ended up becoming Melbourne 2013 levels of bad under his watch. They don't look like getting back on the up anytime soon either.
