Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
yeah geelong were just tyre kicking but none the less clarry did speak with them and this is well documented, hence journos will speculate

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
its hardly conjecture though is it Petracca shopped himself around last trade period and we told clarry to speak with geelong. Of course, clubs will be monitoring the situation while we will consider our go forward list requirements. journalists will report and opine on this. Personally, i think Peter ryan is one of the better journos doing the rounds and i found the article well written and the scenarios outlined plausible enough.

NON-MFC: Round 06
If we can’t win our own games it doesn’t matter what other teams do.

Formula 1 is as interesting as watching paint dry. Dull as ditchwater.

What we have lost
I think the loss of nibbler and Gus impacted leadership and culture around the club and playing group much more than on field. No disrespect but nibbler was a limited footballer who played his role very well. Gus played his role also but far from irreplaceable from a playing perspective.

Demetriou, love him or loathe him, would be a very good appointment. No one has more connections than him. can't see it happening though.

Time to go Goody?
Goody has definitely got better at press conferences. He doesn't scratch his leg obsessively anymore and he does sound confident trouble is saying it and the players hearing it are 2 totally different things looks to me like the messaging just isn't getting through anymore. I know change doesn't happen overnight, but this game plan was worked on last year and this pre season. If it hasn't come together at this stage, the likelihood of everything clicking is far less. Time for change

Relating to Tracs injury i've been seeing a sports physician recently. He happens to be a pies supporter but has worked with AFL teams previously. We got talking about the trac injury. He said there was no way the dees medics on the day could have known of the severity of the injury. He also laughed at the notion the pies players could have known. He said they would have had no idea. It was a terrible freak injury Trac sustained. Perhaps our comms with trac and his parents could have been better but my bet any investigation will exonerate our medics.

Clarry is also a manchild

Media Madness
She’s a disgruntled employee. Her parting left a sour taste for many of the list apparently.

i'm not sure recycling former head coach's is the way to go. Voss has flamed out at Carlton and i can't remember too many recent examples that have failed in the role originally but succeeded a second time. I reckon Leppistch is a great assistant but not what we should be looking for in the head role.

Letter from Brad Green
he's been on the board for 5 years. he deserves his share of the blame

i'm not sold. the doggies have never finished in the top 4 despite the list they've had including a rolls royce midfield i would prefer a fresh up and comer

We are where we are because of complacency. Hard decisions by the people entrusted to run the club should have been made but weren't. Last year was alarm bells but i thought Goody deserved another season to try to turn it around. Turns out i was wrong. The people who should have known went with the easy option and retained the coach. made easy decisions like bring in a plainly unqualified Nat Jones to coach our midfield. Ran an external review for optics purposes. Poor decisions in hindsight. We need a CEO asap and we need to start the search for a new coach yesterday. And we need to try to manage Goody's exit in a dignified and respectful manner. He's been a great coach for us but the game has passed him by.

Words won't sooth or assuage anybody. no matter what he says people won;t be happy. The only way to respond is on the field. Sadly, i have no faith that our performances can turn around. Our method is shot, our players confidence on the floor and a coaching team devoid of ideas. i expect the next major comms will be around kings birthday for Goody's farewell game.

I couldn't care less about his extra marital activities. I want him for his footy nous not to preach about morality.
