  1. beautiful kick again from Bowey. I know he's under no pressure but still
  2. Goal to Grundy. did he mean it?
  3. Superb delivery Hunter.
  4. Chandler should have backed himself to kick for goal there
  5. Saints look bog ordinary.
  6. Composed finish ANB. Not his strong suit so good to see.
  7. I’ve already started to skive off at work. Low productivity Friday for sure.
  8. Agent Pearce at work
  9. I'll be keeping an eye on my boy Hunter, Grundy and JVR And some slick forward entries would be nice to see.
  10. You're the most tedious poster on this forum. Get a life you malcontent. Our teams are winning flags and all you can do is [censored] and moan incessantly about the board. You're painful. And back on ignore.
  11. Pert provided a comprehensive update in my view. My only criticism is that he should have done it earlier. I back Kate and this board to sort out the home base question in time. I’m glad this election is over so we can all focus on the footy. I suggest any threads discussing the election are closed. We’ve discussed to death.
  12. I would be shocked if the club can’t come up with an offer to satisfy Kozzy. Surely Dollars or contractual terms won’t be the issue (and I have no issue with Kozzy asking for what he’s worth. I’d do the same). I think it’s a question of Kozzy deciding whether he wants to continue living in Melbourne or be closer to kin. I hope he decides to stay with us because a) he’s an excellent player with no obvious like for like replacement and b) he’s out of contract so we’ll have to accept what we’re offered as happened with the Jackson trade,
  13. Chloe Molly has expressed an interest in joining the Swans. she's tier 1 for sure. Probably pies best player so a huge blow for them. i wouldn't be surprised if it's the teams 4 to 8 that lose their players. Dees, Lions and Crows far ahead of these teams so these players might think they're no chance of a flag so may as well take the extra money. We're in our window so why leave. It's not like the extra money is going to set players up for life.
  14. I don't get to hear her too often. She's usually with BT so the commentary is muted. I can't listen to him.
  15. I thought that was a good update from Pert. I'm glad we're considering other options besides the MGC precinct. We've been a long time trying to convince stakeholders and the state government to give us a spot there. If it was possible, it would have happened by now. Personally, I think Caulfield is a great option. I hope we end up there.
  16. We played the Lions at the G in early April last year. Remember 2 AFLW seasons were played in calendar year 2022
  17. There was a big gap between the top teams and the rest. Ourselves and the lions finished on a percentage of about 290 I think. I guess the AFL figure this is a good way to even things up but I’ll be raging if we lose good players. And it will be salt in the wounds if hawthorn and Essendon are the beneficiaries.
  18. We have a very strong culture and are smack bang in the middle of our window. I can't see us losing any player to expansion. I reckon the teams that finished 3-8 are most at risk of having their players poached.
  19. Education and honesty in policy and approach the way to go I reckon. drugs can be great fun but as with alcohol you pay a price. Most people can dabble and not form addiction but others can’t (same as gambling and alcohol). Educate people so they understand the risks and can make an informed decision. And have the supports in place if things get out of hand. I view getting caught with a spliff or popping a party pill as no different than overdoing it on the drink and making a fool of yourself. It happens. Let’s not demonise. Kids will be kids. I have a pretty strong libertarian slate but I don’t believe drug use should be legalised other than marijuana (relatively speaking the least dangerous drug, less dangerous than booze in my opinion). It has too much impact on families and communities. The greater good is to keep illegal. Focus police effort on the high level overlords who organise and control rather than low level pushers and users. as for the argument legalisation reduces crime im afraid it doesn’t hold. Yes crims can’t profit from drug pushing but criminals going to criminal. They just figure out new ways to commit crime. And taxing the product just creates a black market (this has been the experience in the US)
  20. He's not the first young lad to dabble in drugs and won't be the last. If he has the right people around him, they'll knock some sense into him. and while I hope the young man learns and moves on, I would be delighted if this derails Collingwood's season preparation.
  21. they have defied gravity for so long. It's sickening.
  22. It'll be interesting to see how the Swans recover from their GF drubbing. History suggests they might struggle this year.
  23. I don't think we got ahead of ourselves last year, it was more injuries / fatigue caught up with us. But otherwise, I agree with his comments.
  24. I think it's hilarious Essendon haven't won a final for so long. And I would love if the Hawks suffered the same fate.
