  1. A lot of you guys are a bit guilty of drinking your own bath water. It would be nice if you could own up to some of these pre game statements as mistakes. Sydney are no pushovers and we waltzed in thinking we would win, but didn’t.

Culture is not created in short term camps. No, I don't think they do it for fun, but on my experience with organisations both professional and sporting their impact is minimal and short term.  But I don't think its part of a long term plan, otherwise the camps would be booked as a sequence years in advance.  There are far better ways to improve our players.

I’ll agree with the short term long term stuff but that’s it.

Yes. But the other point about that, is look at how much finals experience there are in those players: it's not just the  > 150 game players, even the younger players have the kind of big-game experience that ours are severely lacking. The bulk of Sunday's team is the same as the one that finished top of the ladder in 2016 and played in the GF.

And then there's the class: look at how many Swans players have been AA compared to us.

    What?

I am not disappointed in following the club,I would rather them to have been more successful in recent times but it what it is. Don't tell me that I am confusing faith with reality, I know exactly how I feel about both subjects.

What do you have faith in then? It’s all well and good saying what you don’t believe in and that it’s tripe but why don’t you tell us what you do believe in?

We won 12 flags with out having to go on some stupid camp.

The saints did some type of camp a few years back, where their first year players deprived of sleep for hours, and we all know how well their going at the moment.

    That’s crap

Do the 18 pressure acts include the multiple times he pulled out of contests and his zero tackles for the day? I'm not saying I prefer Spargo over Jeffy,  but at least he puts his body on the line.

After playing 176 games of league football I expect much more from Jeffy.

And it was 16 pressure acts ?

Nah that’s a load of crap. Unless you know something we don’t I suggest you don’t give up your day job.

A camp would not have helped yesterday.  Building a culture of success takes time to build, In Sydney it took Barrasi to right the ship in the early 90's the Eade took over and bought some success.  Roo's build on that for with his culture approach.  I see Roo's time with us as where Barassi started with Sydney in the 90's.  Yes we got Roo's so we have started the culture approach earlier and Goodwin was selected based upon that approach as well.   Camp don't create culture everyday actions do.

Oh FFS that is absolute bull [censored]. Why on earth could the coaches have considered doing this camp if it was going to have zero impact on our season? Do you think they were just bored and thought it might be a cool way to spend the summer? If it wasn’t going to have an impact then they should have just spent the entire pre season doing an ‘everyday actions’ camp. ‘Hey mate are you doing your everyday actions yet? I’m not sure are you?”

For gods sake do you think we buy that? That’s total and square bull [censored].

Hogan will always be limited by his attitudinal problems. And what I mean is that he's a big sook who will never change.

We should trade him now whilst he still has some value.

And funnily enough I feel the Heeney mark of the year will add to Hogans problems. Watching replays of Heeney standing on his head will just make him regress further into his shell.

Nah that's a load of crap.

I appreciate that, but our goal kicking - on averages - has been pretty good this year. Sunday hurt big time, but there no reason to start rewriting history.

Everyone should probably take a deep breath, remember we are missing 4 of our top 10 players right now (two of whom we should get back next week). We are also missing Billy Stretch right when he came into some form, same goes for Joel Smith who I thought was becoming really good.

    We'll beat West Coast.

    We need better players.

you guys are laughable. the title of this thread should be "run home to 10th". since the port loss our season was done! most of you demonlanders learnt nothing from last season. and i forgot the username of the guy i had a bet with :)

    That’s because you’re an idiot,

You should give the Hawks a go pal they are generally thereabouts, no idea where their forum is but go find it and don’t let the Demonland door hit you on the ass on the way out.

Disappointing missed set shot by the captain on Saturday night.

But, I'm sorry to say, he just doesn't convince me that he can produce something special when needed. Nothing inspirational in the way he plays. As soon as Viney is back, Jones can be 'rested'.

If he doesn't get back, next in line for the captaincy should be T Mac as current vc. Next year, of course.

Then we'll be looking at the likes of Gus and Clarrie as the next leaders of our club.

What absolute bullsh*t. Really lowered your colours on this one mate. You don’t just walk into a position of leadership.

Would prefer to try Hunt forward over Garlett.

    No future in Jeffey.

Hunt would at least chase and tackle like his life depends on it, and from memory he was a tricky match up and kicked a couple when he was thrown forward last year.

Play him in a position where he can still use his athletic traits but his poor field kicking isn't as obvious - just like TMac.

You have to be taking the P15S

  15. Transgenderism is wrong. No other way to put it. I’m sick of hearing all this crap about what we now have to accept and be ok with. Just because the left like to be progressive doesn’t mean we have to instantly accept everything put in front of our faces.

I said it early in the week that this is the best side we have had since '98.

We are currently 5th and I truly believe we can go all the way with this side.

Hannan saved himself in the last quarter I thought he done nothing for 3 quarters.

    IN: VINEY OUT: WEIDEMAN

You are slightly hopped up on goof balls. We haven’t done anything to suggest we can go all the way. We do have the best side we’ve had in a while though.
