Wrong wrong and wrong. 14 14 Vs 16 4 just admit we are cursed ( don't tell the players though). I so wont to meet the [censored] in a prelim at the G and give them the spanking they deserve. Have some faith this will turn and I think the players believe/ know it will happen if they keep to the plan.I'm as gutted as anyone by this loss but keep some perspective.
Can you explain the plan to us pls?

You have had an extraordinary number of posts since you started posting on DL.
Your posting history is almost a perfect analogy for our inside 50's. Lots and lots of them but far too many fail to hit their target.
You're right. I should play for us.

I am still waiting for Hogan to stand up in a big pressure game. I like what I saw from Trac today, but Hogan goes to water when the heat really turns on, which is a massive worry.

It’s always deeply concerned me that we handed the reigns to a person with a documented gambling problem. Match committee selections and game day tactics have done nothing to allay those fears.

I think what those losses (Saints, Cats x2, Port etc.) shows me is that we're not a serious premiership contender yet. I think we can make finals, but going by tonight you would expect us to go out in straight sets.
I think making the finals would be a big hurdle for this club to jump, but as you say, right now they give us no reason to trust them or have faith in them. Even I'm finding it difficult.
But I'll cling to the fact that we're still in the 8 and still in a position to decide our own destiny. I just hope we can do it.
So according to Roos' KPI if we miss finals we fail. I'll reckon that's the clubs KPI too. Wonder what the fallout will be if we miss? I'm unconvinced by our application and desire and some FD decisions including selection and MD coachjjng

It’s a game dude. I’ll bet money we win 4 of the last 5
I'll take thatbet. I'm busy saving for a tesla solar battery and new 50hp tractor + 6ft slasher so let's say $10? I say we win less than 4

I read those quotes too, and it seems as though he's not happy with the way we played for periods of the game.
The clock management is the one that sticks out for me. The players shouldn't need to be told, in that situation, to run down the clock or to look for the chip kick. It should be common sense.
But from what I can tell I'd wager that Goody would have given them a fair pasting after the game.
Meh
nope
how many pastings do these men on , whAt , 7-13x Mean Ordinary full time equivalent wages need before they do their jobs properly ? It just goes on and on and on. I see where SWYL is coming from. My dad abandoned this club for NRL

yes agree on Hogan, he is certainly not a chaser, we will get found out by better teams who will have whoever is on Hogan running down the ground creating a free man as hogan trots after.
Someone said it earlier and I laughed but now agreee. Trade now and get über $$$

I’m no apologist. Just don’t rant at a young team and dump years of disappointment on them. We made some stupid mistakes but literally everything went right for Geelong in the last right down to Max’s blood rule. We’ll win the 4 of the last 5 and pump the Cats in the first week of the finals. It’s all set up now.
Sorry and no offence to you personally but that is the type of apologist stuff that mires the mfc in mediocrity

I very much believe we are one of the best three or teams in the comp. But we can’t win these important games even when we are clearly the better team. The question is why? Poor coaching? Lack of infield leaders? Inexperience? Or have we been so bad for so long we have forgotten how to win a big game?
[censored] where do you want to start?leadership composure desire heart desperation. For starters

The MFC needs to protest to the AFL to prevent Nichols from ever umpiring another game of ours. The guy clearly has issues with the MFC. Two insane examples (for a start).... the Harmes 50m penalty decision tonight (which clearly wasn't there) and the one against Melksham in the square running into an open goal against Port (which i'm still scratching my head over)
Has had it in for us ever since from last season when Max knocked the ball away and he cracked it.
No no no! Rest assured the club has done this properly behind closed doors

I get it. Trust me. I know it doesn't seem like it, but I get that we are yet to prove ourselves fully against opposition inside the top 8. We pushed the Cats and pushed Port, but we haven't done more than that, which I agree is not good enough.
But the Sydney game today is one example of how anything can happen in the league this year. Outside of playing Carlton, you can lose a game of footy if you switch off for long enough. We are still in the eight and we still have time to put together some notable wins that can propel us towards finals footy.
It might feel terrible right now, and very hard to see, but finals are still in our future this season if we want it.
Won't happen
players don't want it
and/or coach can't coach for it

Hard going ...
Omac is most definitely not going to make it as an AFL player, if anybody seriously thinks he will go ahead and make your case.
Overall the team worked hard, Harmes, Melksham and Petracca led the way, Petraccas brain fade late was bad but he was ver good and you can’t look at one incident for a loss, if you could then plenty of Oscars non competive efforts on Hawkins or maybe Brayshaws ridiculous tap back to three cats 10 metres from goal would certainly take the cake for brain fade of the day.
Hard loss to swallow because like the Port game we were the better team most of the time but need to iron out a few of these passengers still.
I know lots are a rap (?wrap) on gus but I'm not

Maybe you should just stop posting negative [censored] predictions. First it was ten goals then another 186 flogging was on the way.
Now you’re upset we lost by 2 points.
Make up your mind.
Fair point. You have a problem with me despite me not being the only one making similar predictions. So I guess the question is what's your problem

This is an awful post. Lewis hardly put a foot wrong tonight and if you think differently you have no idea about football.
Jones also had an OK game. If you expect every player to hit every target every time you are living in a delusional world.
We didn’t lose because of these 3. We lost because the intensity around the ball dropped off and Hawkins got on a roll. Young players being relied on in the middle lost it for us. They will learn and this group will become a premiership group.
I am terribly upset but chill out with the huge calls man.
I have no idea about football. Now I've put that on the table every DLer can discount whatever I say
I'm not the only one down on lewis
and jones! Omg!!! But you're right of course. "Ok games" in such a serious match are acceptable from 255 gamers/100 club captains . I invariably grit my teeth when he gets it. Not always invariably .
Happy to be corrected . Constructively
