  1. Yes, I'm keen to know. Perhaps Binman was not able to join from Cambodia. Andy said he would not the the podcast alone...
  2. More a statement than a question. I arrived in Melbourne on July 2nd and will be here until early August. It was so enjoyable to attend the game in person. A game I would have had to wake at 5:00am to watch live from Brussels. At the risk of being a stereo-type Dees supporter, my sister hosted me at the Jim Stynes room and we watched the game in the warmth of the front row, behind the glass, with scones and jam and cream served at half-time. It was terrific to see Matt Jefferson play well and although JVR kicked one out on the full he played a good game. What I saw live was the treatment that Max received finding himself on the ground more than once, thanks to the thugs that were getting into him. I simply do not understand how at least one of four umpires cannot see that behaviour off the ball - disgraceful. Off to the Carlton game on Saturday with my brother-in-law to watch from the Longroom. Life doesn't get better than this...
  3. I listened to the Brodie Grundy interview earlier today. He speaks (reasonably well) and gives me confidence that he has bought into Melbourne. I know he came from Collingwood but he has been here long enough to bring his grammar up to Melbourne standards, please. It is not ‘me and Maxy, it is ‘Maxy and I’ or ‘Maxy and me’, if we are concerned about no ‘I’ in team😉. Talking of Collingwood, Friday week ago I was at Brussels Central on my way to Uni classes and I heard a couple asking for help and pricing - thinking they were English I told the station staff to charge them more. They were from Perth and I thanked them for hosting our drought breaking Grand Final. The next in line were from Melbourne. Are you Dees fans, ‘no Collingwood’. It took all my control to not brush them off with the bird. Then, from the other side of the large foyer, turned back and shouted twice ‘King’s Birthday’. No reaction. I have since wondered whether I have done a disservice to our Beloved Demons. Please help to counter my momentary arrogance, so un-Melbourne like…🥴.
  4. Demons Dee-aspora Brussels.jfif At Brussels COVID-19 test center for flight to Ireland to resume on campus lectures at Maynooth University in Ireland. Go Dees
  5. I normally don't post but after the Brisbane Vs Western Bulldogs game, I sincerely hope we do not get the umpiring crew for that game against Geelong next week. I will keep it civil, as the umpires have an impossible job and we cannot play without them, but some of the free kicks against Brisbane, especially in the 4th quarter were questionable, at best! Did anyone else see it that way or am I alone?
