  1. Beating the Bombers is a critical part of my ongoing mental health plan. Seriously though, it’s a big game. I did not think we were travelling well a few weeks ago, not that it’s a revelatory insight given the outcomes, more that I wasn’t sure if we could turn it around with enough time to spice up the finals. I saw that against the lions then against the Eagles, who despite a pretty poor team this year, we owed them. Anyway, point is I think we enter this game with good form and importantly, some spark. Would be good to see the boys come out on fire early with that intense pressure we have seen in the last few games. A win would be huge for the Freo game and generally for our finals bid. We’re missing Trac but if we can get Rivdog continue his good work, and Kolt, Roo, Windsor et al, the kids believe (guided by our leaders playing out of their skins), anything is possible come finals, but for now it’s the bombers. FWIW I don’t rate them and we should beat them. They’re a top 4 side and I know you can only beat who you play, which they have done, largely. But we can cover them. BUT they, like any other team we play, MUST be respected, and the game played for a whole 4 quarters. If we do, we win. Only change I see is likely Petty for Turner, probably. He has his knockers and it’s fair to say it’s been a very poor year, but I thought he had improved over his last two weeks. A good or even a v good petty will be important for us as we move forward. Let’s go!! 🔥
  2. GO MELKY!! ❤️ We owe these mugs a HUGE last qtr. Let’s go! 🔥
  3. Wow, the man barely knew what a loss was! May he continue his winning ways at the G in the sky, and hopefully watch us return to such comprehensive dominance very soon :-) RIP
  4. Well I am certainly looking forward to reaping the benefits of that this week so we can roll forward some momentum into the game against the Bombers so we can take down a current top 4 side (and beating those mugs is one of my favourite pastimes) 🤣
  5. The Eagles kindly played their GF against us (we don't help by being soft as butter the whole day), and have been smashed by everyone since.
  6. Also through AMW was really good!
  7. Proud of the boys tonight. I’d say goals win games, and they do, but the Lions had +5 scoring shots & deserved to win. Patchy umpiring but it’s not why we lost. Ran out of legs, shut down too early. 2.8 in 2nd half (no goals in Q4). That’s not good enough. But we showed signs of life, and that’s something. If we can play with that pressure we can fight for finals then who knows? There’s hope. Onwards 💙❤️
  8. Getting cut up here. No way we can hold on WE NEED TO SCORE (GOALS)
  9. Langdon miss costly. we have had a lot of let offs this quarter. We will need to score very quickly and plentifully if we are going to win.
  10. Didn’t quite maintain the dominance from Q2 obviously but kept in it and made sure we have a base to work from in the final quarter. Had petty kicked that one he really should have kicked it would have been pretty much even for that quarter, which would have been fair. Need to take our chances in the last and keep up that pressure.
  11. Kozzie is ridiculous ❤️
  12. Was that a stiff HTB against ANN or was I not paying attention?
  13. The secret here is to start this third quarter exactly the way we played that second quarter. A few quick goals and we can stamp our foot on this one. Let’s go, boys!!! 🔥
  14. Ars*y goal. Get it back
  15. HOW GOOD!!?? Great effort from Clarry and top goal. BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG All those taking pot shots at our boy Clarry, calling for him to play in the 2s, hope you enjoyed that ❤️
  16. GREAT effort by Fritter, and awesome goal from Chin. so, so much better around the ground. You can feel the pressure.
  17. HOW GOOD WAS VINEY’S EFFORT THERE!!?? Great goal all round, let’s get into ‘em!! 🔥
  18. As they say, points win matches
  19. I’m kind of pumped. Like, can we actually win this thing or is it just the adrenaline you’d maybe feel in a moment when the plane hits crazy turbulence and starts to nosedive and you don’t know if you’re gonna make it, but maybe you will, and what a story if you do, Wowee, did you leave the iron on at home? Who cares?! Go Dees ❤️💙
  20. Let’s go boys. Just have a crack! 🔥
  21. I think we work best as underdogs - we act a little strange when there are expectations - so despite my gut saying we will likely lose to the Lions tonight (that's not an unfair assessment, we have been very poor of late, copped a few injuries and the Lions have their tails up, at home and the odds reflect all of this), my heart says the boys will be very keen to prove they're all heart when they run out tonight. The expectation is not on us, so we have nothing to lose. I just want to see us play with pride and intensity for 4 quarters. Can we win? My heart says yes 🤣
  22. A win is a win? Usually yeah, but we just eked out a 3 point win against the bottom team on the ladder, managed just 70 points and didn’t score a single point in the final qtr. I’m not sure how to feel about today but it’s hard not to argue the season is over. We just have to plan for next year. Something has to change and we need a serious injection of quality to fill some gaps. Review of everything please while we still have our core. Next week v the lions up there… 😬
